Stations at St. Thomas Description
Presents a meditation from the (Episcopal) Book of Occasional Services, and a meditation for children developed at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Lancaster PA USA. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life, and continued use of location services running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. The app also presents an image of each station, taken from the Stations at St. Thomas, and executed by sculptor Virginia Maksymowicz. In addition, the app also presents comments of the artist, on the Stations of the Cross, or Way of the Cross, at St. Thomas. The app includes voice-over for the children's meditation and the artist's comments. When in St. Thomas church, the app detects, using iBeacons, which Station is nearest and permits the visitor to go to the appropriate meditation.
Stations at St. Thomas 1.3 Update
2019-02-16
Bug which prevented some settings to be chosen has been fixed. App works appropriately on all iOS models, in both portrait and landscape orientation. Use of iBeacons has been removed; no one was using this feature, and it is too expensive to maintain.
