About Strengths Collector

The Strengths Collector is a fun way to identify personal strengths that you can drawn on to improve your health or health care. Often our approach to improving health or to managing chronic illnesses is based on deficits - what is wrong or not working. But focusing strengths can unleash untapped potential for positive change.
The Strengths Collector begins with four short video stories to get you thinking about your strengths - personal attributes, interpersonal relationships, and community assets. Then it asks you to choose how well each item on a short list of strengths describes you. Finally, it gives you a chance to choose which of your strengths are relevant to a health issue you might want to improve. The Strengths Collector then presents a prioritized list of strengths you can call on to improve your health or share with your health care provider to start a different kind of conversation.
