The letter is from his wife: You forgot what today is. Today is Valentine’s Day, my 22nd birthday, and our 3rd wedding anniversary. Today is the 237th day that I didn't wait for you to come home for dinner.
Underneath the letter is the deed to a manor and a message. "You said that in your old age you would have a farm, and eat the fruits and vegetables grown by your own hand. Come."
