About Surfcomp
The Surfcomp app has been created for surfing competition event management. Complete with the ability to organise seeded heats, based on current competitor rankings, the Surfcomp app is ready for your amateur surf competition events. Now with support for Apple Watch Series 2 - Series 7.

If you are completely burned out from struggling to organise a surfing event for you local monthly boardriders competitions, then Surfcomp is going to be a complete breath of fresh air. Competitors will no longer be pestering judges or administrators for their singlet colours, waves scores or surfing times.
With the Apple Watch addition to Surfcomp, users are able to monitor their performance during a live heat, while surfing in the water. This updated version keeps the app in the foreground and allows "in the water access" to the home screen of the Surfcomp app on the Apple Watch. Users are able to see live scores, countdown timer, scores needed for advancing to the next round, current placings - all at a glance - via the clearly designed Watch interface, bringing a whole new level to your athletic performance for competitive surfing. No performance data of the user is collected by the app at this stage, as the purpose of the Apple Watch inclusion is to provide real time feedback on competitive data directly to the surfer in the water. Full support for 3G enabled Apple Watch is now supported.

This update includes some major additions - Tag Team Events are now possible, plus support for Apple Watch (tethered WiFi only). This update now allows us to integrate with the Health App. With the Apple Watch addition to Surfcomp, users are able to monitor their performance during a live heat, while surfing in the water. As this Workout App, which keeps the app in the foreground and allows "in the water access" to the home screen of the Surfcomp app on the watch. Users are able to see live scores, countdown timer, scores needed for advancing to the next round, current placings - all at a glance - via the clearly designed Watch interface. Presently supporting WiFi tethered to iPhone mode only, this brings a whole new level to your athletic performance for your competitive surfing. No performance data of the user is collected by the app at this stage, as the purpose of the Apple Watch inclusion is to provide real time feedback on competitive data directly to the surfer in the water. Full support for 3G enabled Apple Watch is coming in future releases. This release also has minor bug fixes. This version is a must update for all users.

This version update is mandatory - we have migrated the app to a more powerful, and higher capacity server. Ensuring we have maximum speed to keep Surfcomp working efficiently.
All clubs and users are required to install this latest version to ensure that their information and club details will continue to work as expected.
We have also added the ability to block the publishing of the heat draw, and whiteboard schedules - a feature request for clubs who find beach attendance an issue. The only way to see the heat draw in this mode, it be at the beach and watching the up-to-date schedule as displayed on the (Admin) projection on the TV for those using this to display publicly the Whiteboard and order of the event.
Other minor bugs and improvements are included in this release.

Judge interface improvements, plus new horn sound (louder) and new 5 min warning buzzer (softer). Judges are listed now by number, i.e. JUDGE 1, JUDGE 2 etc. Judges are now able to reload a heat and pause the timer if they need more time between heats to finalise score entry.

Surfcomp now supports Double Banking - for those clubs who want to get through the day a whole lot faster by surfing two divisions on seperate banks simultaneously. We have added back the multiple registration admin capabilities and the ability to "Publish Heatdraw" when it suits to show who surfs first. Great for increasing participation and getting crew to the beach to help setup.

In this update we have added the ability to create and run manual progression competitions. This is ideal for clubs that run events that are based on rounds that accommodate non-regular 50% advancement rules.

In this update we have added a few new features, by popular demand.
1. Paired logins for family members - meaning Dad can login and register all the kids & vicea-versa, the one of the kids can register Mum and siblings.
2. The "Unregister" button. Can't make the contest you have registered for, better let the contest director the easiest way before the heats are organised by going to the Registration menu and hitting the "Unregister" button. No more walk-through heats with 2 surfers.
3. We have added a more sonic friendly 5 minute warning buzzer.
4. Now "Hide Scores in Final" works correctly, still showing all the scores and excitement in the Lives Scores display but importantly hiding the final placings from the Whiteboard, making for that exciting announcement at the presentation.
So update now to enjoy these new improvements.
