About GoodFish Australia

GoodFish: Australia's Sustainable Seafood Guide is a tool to help you make an ocean-friendly choice about the seafood you eat. This is an independent Guide to choosing your seafood wisely. If you love your seafood but also love our oceans, then this is the app for you.

The GoodFish guide is the leading app of its kind for Australian seafood. It covers 92% of seafood by volume on the market including those from wild-caught fisheries, fish farms and imported species.

Download the Guide to access the easy to use traffic light sustainability ranking system, with Green ‘Better Choice’, Amber ‘Eat Less’ and Red ‘Say No’.

The app has been developed by the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS), Australia’s leading marine environmental not-for-profit in response to growing public concerns about overfishing, fish farming and our impact on our ocean wildlife. www.marineconservation.org.au

Features:
• Easy to use traffic light sustainability ranking system
• Free, up to date seafood assessments
• Search for seafood marketed under common names or Australian Standard Names
• Choose the best brand of tuna from Greenpeace’s Canned Tuna Guide.

Canned tuna is typically bought by brand, so to arm consumers when faced with a whole host of choices in the supermarket, the Sustainable Seafood Guide now features a whole section devoted to the sustainability of canned tuna brands. Greenpeace’s ‘Canned Tuna Guide’ is now a dedicated section of the Sustainable Seafood App, with information on which brands source their tuna responsibly and which brands have some work to do.
