Tasks turns 3 and with that we have an update that is absolute a fresh, faster, smoother and reliable look!
- A brand new home screen with drag and drop interactions to reorder projects, folders and more
- Freshly designed kanban view, with drag and drop interactions to make tasks subtasks, remove them and more!

- Tasks Cloud, a reliable and new way to sync your tasks and collaborate with your friends with a simple one tap Sign in with Apple for authentication

- All new comments design
Along with all this, Tasks Cloud which is our new sync mechanism is an opt in only. The default is still iCloud and you can continue to use iCloud for your sync which we have continued to improve.

I started out on this journey because I couldn’t find an app that was really easy to manage my projects and tasks in an organized and personalized way - so I set out to make an app for myself. I had big features planned for it and one of them was this “Smart Lists” feature. I planned this feature back in March 2020 and built Tasks keeping that in mind. Now it is finally available for you’ll and me to use. I am extremely excited.
What’s new:
- Smart Lists, create complex queries extremely easily
- Folders, organize your projects into folders (nest them as much as you like
- Long press projects to add projects to projects and more
- Filters for projects - by tags, statuses, types, priorities and dates

The Halloween update is here with a few scary bug fixes which slipped in earlier:
- Clone a task by long pressing on it
- Drag and drop tasks outside the app to embed a link to it
- Long press a task, tag, status, priority or filter to copy a link referencing that within tasks, you can embed these anywhere on your device
- Drag and drop tasks across projects - when you do so as some details might not get transferred as you know projects are all unique. I inform you of what might not get transferred
- Improved haptics for iPhones
- Improved reordering support
- A lot of scary spooky bugs were squished - most notable one being custom recurring reminders weren’t working correctly
- Comment icon persisting after deleting comments fix (thanks Mark)

We heard your feedback and here is an update bringing some highly requested features and improvements:
- Search just got a whole lot more powerful and faster. You can now search for not only tasks, but also any field within a task, comments, tags, statuses, projects and filters.
- Drag and drop an image from anywhere into a task to add it - ensure you have the image field added to the task.
- Goodbye to the "Save" button. Tasks now will automatically save your changes as you make them!
- Pulling down on any column in the kanban view will automatically add the suggested tags based on what you're viewing.
- Adding tags is now easier than ever, you can add them quickly right from the menu.
- Support for exporting columns to PDFs
- Indicator to show if a task has images
- Highlighting search query improved
- Support for bulk deleting tasks from any column
- Support for bulk moving tasks from one status to another
- Bug fix where adding fields and tags would not reflect immediately.
- Fixed an issue where you could not add subtasks from within the task detail view.
- Improved feedback when you complete a task successfully.
- Improved keyboard support.
- Improved sync and a new option for you to force fetch all changes from your synced data.
- Squished a lot of hidden bugs in the process of improving overall app performance!
- Fixes the deletion on images in a task bug
