Firstly, as a visual change, we have renewed the icon. Until now, it was a mediocre icon that I, an amateur, had made casually, but we had a designer create something proper.
As they are a professional, they offered many suggestions, and from those, I chose a simple one that I liked as the basis for the creation. It was my first experience with this.
Next, the improvement of the issue where the app crashes when it is reopened and played again. This was something that also troubled me, but after testing the fixed version for about a week and not experiencing any crashes, I believe it has significantly improved this time.

@Ad Bug Fix
In the free version, an ad for the premium version is supposed to show up periodically. However, there was a bug reported where viewing an ad to continue using the app for free wouldn't reset as expected.
I've had trouble reproducing this bug in my own or my friends' environments, but I've made some programming adjustments to prevent this issue from occurring.
With these changes, the problem where the ad display does not allow progress while staying in the free version should be resolved.
Additionally, I've made several minor improvements that might go unnoticed.

Text Recognition from Camera & Photos
Finally, we've achieved text extraction from images! You can now capture text from books using your camera, or import text from multiple saved photos all at once.
It's also possible to take screenshots of multiple pages in an e-book and save them directly via the share button. Please note that vertical text support requires iOS 17.
When I want to listen to the e-book I'm reading, I screenshot about 10 pages and listen to them while I'm on the go. It's incredibly convenient.
We've also made various minor fixes and adjustments.

Hello. My day and night schedule has been a bit reversed.
Now, I have made several improvements and changes this time.
・Extended free time with ad display
・Fixed issue with crashing on audio files
・Revised the mechanism for the paid version

Initially, there used to be a temporary pause every 5 minutes, but I have significantly extended the free time to every 15 minutes by displaying banner ads. Along with this, I have made background playback a feature of the paid version, making it easier to try out for free for a longer time.
Also, since iOS 17, there had been an issue where the app would crash during audio file creation, so I have fixed this as well.
Lastly, I have improved the movement of auto-scroll, enhanced various screens, and made various corrections to the finer details.

Firstly, in the previous free version, when a certain amount of time had passed, you had to finish watching a video ad to continue playback. I've decided to remove these ads.
In the free version, there will still be occasional pop-ups suggesting an upgrade, but you can continue playback without watching ads. In exchange, I've made the speed adjustment a feature of the paid version.
Also, I've extended the trial period for the first purchase of the paid version to 1 month. I hope this makes it easier for you to try out the paid version.
In addition, I've been making various minor adjustments here and there.

I use Helpshift service on the help sction of the app, and it has been updated to the latest one.
Also, if you don't like permission pops everytime you paste texts, please do iOS Settings => Voicepaper => Paste from Other App => Allow.

Recently, Dropbox changed the expired time for their Dropbox SDK, so Voicepaper users needed to logout and login to Dropbox everytime they use it.

Firstly, you can export text from this version using share button. Previously, you could only share texts with url attached, but you can use this share button for any text you create or copied.
Also, text replace feature works with action share button from Safari, Twitter and so on. URL replace feature also works for them.

You needed to wait for a day to play again after the 15 min limit before if you tried Voicepaper for free.
From this version, free users can keep using the app if you watch rewarded ads periodically. With this way, free users can have more time to try Voicepaper before upgrading from the first day.
With this change, Create Audio feature behaviour has been changed a little, but no difference for paid users anyway.

Now, you can create audio files from text screen => action button on the upper right. The file is created based on the speed you set, and you can send files via Email, or other ways.
Also, you can select Open in Safari and Share URL via Instapaper based texts.
And, Login pop-ups don't show up when you refresh all services unless you log in to each service, so the refresh will be easier to use.

Voicepaper supports Evernote, Pocket, and Dropbox to get text files, and now, it also supports Google Drive from this version.
You can also use Sorting and Searching just like you do on Evernote and Pocket in Voicepaper, so it must be handy to use.
I'd wanted to support it for a long time, and now I am happy to do that on Voicepaper.

Now, you can enable auto-lock in the settings so you can use iOS auto-lock on the Voicepaper text screen. In the previous versions, Voicepaper always cancels the iOS auto-lock setting on the text screen so people can see highlights during the speech.
From this version, you can control if you want to disable it or not.

Threre was a bug for Open in feature which you can use when you want to open from Safari or Chrome. You simply couldn't tap any buttons for iPad when you try to open Voicepaper from Browsers using extensions. This issue has been fixed.
Also, the font size for iPad has been updated, and it could be easier to read now.
And, you can also choose if you want to start text speech after you open each text in the settings now.

Hi, this is a small fix
@Change Playlist Update
In the previous update, I added the Change Playlist button in the reading list you can see by swiping right an item.
However, because of this another button addtion, dragging to right to move an item to top gesture becomes a little difficult.
To fix this, I changed button titles to shorter, and removed the playlist move button when you don't have multiple playlist.

First, you can move an item you imported to another Playlist easily from this update. Swipe right an item in the list, so you can find Change Playlist button to tap.
Next, you can also disable text highlight in the settings now. Sometimes, people don't want to see highlighting if they read text while listening at the same time. In this case, this setting could be useful.

Now, you can choose Random Speaker Option when you want to change speakers randomly.
It will detect a language from texts first, then it will pick a speaker randomly.
