About The Abaco Club

The Abaco Club app includes a GPS enabled yardage guide, 3D flyovers, live scoring and much more!

The golf course at The Abaco Club was designed for adventure and to be a good test. The Club's vision to create the world's first Scottish-style "tropical links" course was beautifully realized here by renowned golf course architects Donald Steel and Tom Mackenzie, two Britons who incorporated their knowledge of the game's links-golf roots into every hole you'll play. What are the characteristics of a links golf course? Firm, fast turf.Rolling terrain. Penal bunkers. And wind. All four elements are present at The Abaco Club—along with some of the most beautiful views in all of golf. Fortunately, the weather conditions at Abaco tend to be a bit warmer and drier than those you'll find in other places known for their links courses. The course's designers were careful to give you several different ways to play each hole. Determining which route is best for your game (and the day’s wind conditions) is half the battle. This is especially true on approach shots. Often, playing for the middle of the green will be the best strategy here, because like their Scottish and Irish predecessors, the greens and the closely mown areas surrounding them are anything but flat. Miss a green on the wrong side and you'll be challenged to save par. We hope you enjoy your day at The Abaco Club.
