About New Testament books in RSL

The application is intended for deaf and hearing impaired people who speak the Russian Sign Language (RSL) and are interested in getting a deeper acquaintance with the Scriptures and studying it, as well as for hearing people, wanting to immerse themselves in the biblical text in sign language.

This online application includes video clips with the translation of the New Testament into the RSL, illustrated with graphical drawings of biblical realities and plots changing in the background, as well as maps of the places where the events described took place. The videos are supplemented with subtitles (that can be switched on), based on the reverse translation from the RSL, which has been drafted to help the perception of new concepts in translation, and enable you to compare the narrative story with the written text. Under the video is also the gospel text of two other translations to choose from (Synodal or modern), in which there are links to a dictionary with video explanations of key biblical concepts.
