About Translate This

Translate This is the easiest way to translate text from PDFs, images, Slack, websites - in fact, if you can see text on your screen, you can translate it! Taking a screenshot or copying then pasting not required.

Whether you're working with colleagues who don't speak your native language or chatting with a friend from abroad, it can be frustrating to find that Google Translate tab in your browser every time you want to read a message. Translate This changes everything: simply position the red window above the text you wish to understand and hit the Translate button.

Translate This is built using Google Translate's Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Translate APIs. We currently support 50+ languages.

In this update, we've added a couple of things under the Settings button
- You can now choose to force Translate This to always appear above all other running applications
- There's a "Copy Debug Info" button that you can use to copy debug info to your clipboard - keep those bug reports coming!

To cover Google's per-character cost of OCR and Translation, you'll need to purchase credits from now on.
