Board template improvements, an improved VoiceOver experience, and some color changes are all part of this new release:

- We now display more info about each board template when you preview them - check out the template gallery when creating a new board!
- We've improved the VoiceOver experience by adding custom VoiceOver actions to the card front and the list name. We've also reduced the amount of navigation required to perform these actions when using VoiceOver. And we added a custom voiceover rotor to allow those using assistive technology to navigate by list name.
- We've (subtly) spruced up the app by adding a dash of updated colors in the nav bar, buttons, the app icon, and more!
2023.7 2023-05-17
We’ve been working on some nifty new features that we think you’ll love, including:

- Template gallery: Ever wanted to easily browse Trello templates from the app? Now you can: check out the template gallery when you create a new board! Currently available in English, Portuguese, and French.

- Attach cards via QR codes: Save time by scanning QR codes to add attachments to your cards!

Your guide to peak productivity. Try these new mobile features on your way to the top — Card separator, List Limit Power-Up, and bulk creation. Self-management and accountability can be tricky to put into practice. Here are some ways to move tasks and projects along, all from the Mobile app!

1. Create A Personal Mission Statement

Clearly set your goals and organize them accordingly thanks to our brand new card separators. To create one, just add a card with three dashes (---) as the card title. Voilà! A separator card will be added to help you break up big lists into bite-sized bits.

2. Use Lists Wisely

Are you your worst enemy when it comes to creating a to-do list? Please, welcome our latest Power-Up on mobile with open arms—List Limits.

As the name suggests, you can set a limit for the maximum number of cards that should be in a list and the list will change color when the limit has been exceeded. A beautiful visual way to surface potential bottlenecks in your workflow (yes, the limit does exist!).

3. Set Micro-Goals

The first step is always the hardest but setting micro-goals will help you set yourself in motion. Card and checklist bulk creation will help you quickly add all those micro-goals into your favorite Trello boards and lists.

Paste any list of text with line breaks into a card or checklist item and convert it into multiple cards or items in a click.

Wait, there’s more on Mobile! Our team works hard to deliver less bugs and more improvements. We’ve cleaned house to keep your Trello workspace flowing with productive feng shui.

Document Scanning and Markdown - Digitize and attach documents in seconds and clearly contextualize communication

Did you know that the first scanner developed for use with a computer was developed in 1957? It was a drum scanner developed by a team led by Russell A. Kirsch at the US National Bureau of Standards.

Almost 7 decades later, the innovation continues! We’re introducing a brand new mobile feature that lets you scan a document directly from a Trello card and attach the PDF version of it right from the palm of your hand. That's quite an improvement, right?

And there’s more! To make your cards even more effective (and definitely beautiful) you can now write in bold, italic, and any other style in the card comments with Markdown support. So yes, you can make sure your colleagues get the message with all that emphasis you mean to convey.

Boards, lists—and cards, too—new updates are here for everyone! Whatever you’ve set as resolutions this year, we’ve made some important improvements to help you reach your goals in 2020:

- Sort cards in a list by their name, date created, or due date. You can even choose if you prefer sorting to be ascending or descending. Perfect for moving cards around in a snap and seeing them in the order that best suits you. Keep those important goals top of mind!

- Add cards from the Boards tab. We’ve added a new button for you to quickly create new cards in new places. Perfect for adding new ideas, tasks, or items on the go. Now, going from idea to action will take less time.

And, to keep pace with your productivity, we’ve made some improvements for faster real-time updates. Three cheers for a successful new year!

Truly useful notifications should deliver the right information, to the right person at the right time. So why does it sometimes feel like they control attention more than they cater to it? It’s time to take that power back and make push notifications work for you—in Trello, at least!

First, choose what you want to be notified about. With our brand new Notifications Preferences in Trello’s app settings, pick which push notifications you want to get sent to your mobile device. Choose from 25 actions in Trello that will trigger push notifications at card, board, team, and invitation levels of activity.

Then, decide when it’s most productive to be notified. You can now configure custom reminders for due dates on cards. For each due date, you can choose to be reminded 1h, 2h, 1 day, or 2 days before a card is due.

You’re off to great places!
The new Map Power-Up leads the way!

You have lists on your board,
And locations on your cards.
With the Map Power-Up,
You can journey to the stars.
Now while on your phone, you’ll always be in the know.
With a map by your side as you decide where to go.

You'll look up and down lists. Look cards over with care.
About some you will say, "I don't choose to go there."
With lists on your boards and locations on your cards,
You'll be too organized to go down dull boulevards.

But you’ll probably find many
you'll want to go down.
Because, you planned your board so well,
you'll be the toast of the town!

With the Map Power-Up there,
You’ll travel with flair.

With Trello, things can happen
(and frequently do)
to people as plan-y
and organize-y as you.

And when plans start to happen,
Visiting locations anew,
Just go right along.
You'll start happening, too.

Oh!
The places you’ll go with Trello!

We are thankful this year for all of you wonderful Trello users! Here are some updates to also be grateful for—the Trello app is now faster, with improved notifications and more:

- You no longer have to read the same update from your co-worker twice! When you mark your notifications “All As Read,” they are truly cleared from your list of unread notifications.
- It’s all about those little details: Card cover images will now adapt to the correct dimensions. Thin images are thin. Fat images are fat. And the snozzberries taste like snozzberries.
- Emoji reactions to card comments are now available to use right from your Home view, so you can send all the :) <3 without bouncing from board to board.
- We improved the speed of the app when you open a card or return to the app. Your productivity will be faster than ever!

There truly is no place like home, Trello home that is! Come on in and take a tour of this brand new view. Home provides you with the high-level perspective of what’s happening at any moment across your teams, boards, and card activities. Let's dive into the details of what's changing...

* Home is now the first navigation option, don't worry though, you'll still be able to go straight to your boards as well.
* “Up next” shows you any cards that have due dates coming up or are recently overdue, cards with active conversations that require your reply, and cards that have you added as a member, but haven’t had any activity yet.
* “Highlights” surfaces cards from boards that may be interesting to you, you can use this view to stay updated on your team’s activities, and reply directly to cards without diving into each board.

Trello for iOS 4.2.0 contains bugfixes and other improvements.
4.1.10 2018-04-26
Get psyched! We're making it easier to manage notifications in Trello. Now, we won’t automatically mark all as read if you open notifications. We've also got a fancy new “mark all as read” button if you DO want to mark them all. And because the best things come in threes, we'll mark a notification as read if you tap it (to open the card). Done and done.
