* We're thrilled to bring back our trip countdown! When you add dates to your trip, we'll create the countdown for you and show it when you open the app on a new day.

* We added a location auto-complete to our new search tool. It will recommend any points of interest or categories that match what you've entered.

Hey Tripscout users! We're excited to release a new version of the app with some new features to make trip planning even easier:
-There is now a simple way to save the places you discover when reading articles. Just tap the search bar at the bottom of the screen, type in the place you're looking for, and save. We'll add that place to your trip instantly so you can ditch the spreadsheet, note pad, or whatever else you're using to stay organized.
-When you view your guidebook for the first time, we made it easy to add the dates to your trip. This allows us to set up your itinerary, personalize your content, and power some new features that are coming soon.
-We improved the bookmarking feature and made them more accessible from the Home screen and Guidebook.

Since the pandemic began, we've been focusing on launching the #TravelFromHome movement to help our fellow travelers remain connected, inspired, and entertained during these times. -The articles and videos in your travel guide are now personalized based on your trip dates, who you are traveling with, and budget. Traveling in summer? You won't be bothered by winter activities. Traveling on a budget? We'll focus on the cheap and free things to make your trip great. Traveling alone? With kids? In a group or on a romantic getaway? We've curated all of the must-read content to make your trip planning as fun as being there.

Hey TripScouts! June is here and we're officially in the heat of travel season (full disclosure: it's always travel season), we've been hard at work building some new features that will help turn your dream trip into reality.
-We are always looking for ways to help you save time and money while traveling. In some cities, you can buy a pass that includes many of the local attractions at a huge discount. When you save a few places that are included in the pass we'll give you the details on how to buy it!
-Travelers always ask us what part of a city they should stay in depending on their places. We're testing an early, free service where our team will make hotel recommendations based on your exact plans. If you a message in app and are interested in help, just tap "Yes" and someone at TripScout will reach out right away!
-We added Password Autofill, created some new deep links, and removed some unnecessary Facebook login permissions that the app was requested.
-Fixed several bugs (including one that was causing crashes when downloading the offline map), made a ton of design changes, and improved the backend for a smoother TripScout experience.

Spring has sprung, clocks have been changed, and travel is on the brain. We've been hard at work on one of our biggest improvements to the app just in time for your next trip:
-Time for all new look and feel! We've completely overhauled the flow and navigation of the app, primarily bringing content and search in one unified experience within the "Explore" tab.
-TripScout makes it simple to find the best places in every city. Our redesigned "Places" view shows you the number of articles any place has been mentioned in so you can see the hot spots and hidden gems in one place.
-We made massive UI improvements across the app, updating colors, fonts, and icons for a slick new look.
-Big changes were made beneath the iceberg. TripScout is faster than ever, we crushed some bugs, and removed some legacy features and code.

Here is a quick update to get the week going:
-We made some slight tweaks to our autocomplete to help you figure out the difference between "London", "London", "London", and "London" (they're all worth exploring, we promise!)
-A universal truth: push notifications should only be sent when they are important and helpful. We're getting ready to add some new notifications to show you great new content, recommendations, and how to get around while traveling. We updated our permission screen to reflect this, please accept notifications!
-We made a few little tweaks to the app before hunkering down to work on a big update.

- We've added thousands of new articles, videos, and tags to our Guides. Read all of the best articles, binge on videos, and tap to save the places you love.
- TripScout has gone global! You can add any destination in the world to your wishlist, find the best places, and checkout millions of photos and tips.
- We built a new onboarding flow to maximize your wanderlust! Choose every place you want to travel and we'll build out your ultimate travel wishlist. When you've booked your travel, add your dates and TripScout will help you plan the perfect itinerary.
- We enhanced the site profile designs giving you access to millions of more photos, tips, and easy access to read any article that a place is mentioned
- We restyled our sign up, log in, and reset password screens. This is part of a app-wide design overhaul, more updates coming soon!
- As always, we've made some performance improvements and squashed some bugs to make traveling with TripScout even better.

We're only a few weeks in 2019, and our content feed is hanging on to the "New Year, New Me" resolution. We've made some UI improvements for an even better experience:

-You can now view photos on the Site Profile by tapping the main image. Swipe, swipe, swipe away!
-We now load site's website's directly in TripScout so you don't need to bounce between the app and your browser.

-The itinerary feature now works fully offline. Don't worry if you are traveling without data, you can still access your itinerary, change your plans, and add new places.

-You can now see all of your saved places on a Map! Just tap the globe icon on the saved screen and start mapping away.
-When you get to the end of articles in a category, we make it easy to start reading in a new category.
-We improved our video experience by embedding the videos directly into the app.
-For people planning multiple trips simultaneously, we added some logic so places go to the right saved list or itinerary automatically.
