The region of Tentudía is situated in the south of Extremadura, in the province of Badajoz, composed of municipalities that are part of two natural areas of southern Extremadura, the mountains and the countryside, giving rise therefore inside marked differences between some localities and others.
The name of the mountain "" Tentudía "" revolves around a legend. According to this in this mountain, in the thirteenth century, a fierce battle between the knights of the Order of Santiago, with Pelay Maestre Perez Correa, and Muslims took place.
