About uBurn Lite
The FIRST & ONLY burn tool for the iPhone & iPod Touch!
uBurn LITE is the simple source for Rule of Nines reference & Parkland Burn Calculation - on the house!
uBurn LITE is a medical reference program designed to help medical professionals recall vital information regarding thermal burns. Why fumble through other expensive applications to squint to read information, view small drawings, or get confused between adult and child information? uBurn Lite is designed to be a simple, quick reference application to solve those problems!
Why? Because some studies show that in up to one out of every three patients there is a significant discrepancy in calculated burn size. This miscalculation often leads to significant mismanagement in fluid replacement.
uBurn LITE 3.0 provides three important reference tools for burns: The Rule of Nines, Degrees, and the Parkland Formula. The simple, streamlined user interface provides fast, easy access to important information. Multiple input options add to the ease of use and the speed of calculation. Calculations are generated for you in real time, without additional buttons to press to “generate” a value. Default program settings allow you to choose startup options specific to each user. The Degrees section provides some additional information on classifying burn depth.
uBurn Lite is designed to be a fast, free, user-friendly tool to help with burn calculation. It is the first of a suite of four burn calculation applications designed to suit the needs of all types of medical professionals. Check out uBurn, uBurn Medic (2010), and uBurn PRO (late 2010) as they become available all with feature-rich “mini apps”, program specific features, and extensive reference sections for the most up to date burn recommendations.
Here's what some users had to say about version 1 & 2:
Daddy ReD - Very Nice!!! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
This app rocks! Burn surface area estimation is one of the most commonly missed things in ems. This app will help fix that and the parkland formula is awesome too.
0ppy - Great Update ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
The latest update really made this app work well. I work in the medical field and this app is very useful when it comes to burn patients.
MedStudent45 - I Like ★ ★ ★ ★
uBurn helps me quantify the burn and calculate an appropriate treatment regimen. I’m impressed and want to see what else they have to offer.
