Unlisted: Private 2nd Line 2022.25 Update
2022-08-07
Version History
We've fixed a crash some users noticed when extending their plans. We've also added the ability to delete your account from the app - find this option in the settings menu.
Here are some other things we changed recently:
- Fixes the star (*) key when on a call
- You can now log out to reset your PIN
- Say goodbye to calls outside your working hours. Set the times that you are available and we'll make sure you only get notifications and calls during those times. Otherwise, calls will be sent to voicemail and notifications will be muted. We've been working hard on this one and are happy to release this top-requested feature!
- We improved the photo picker so you can now find and send your photos much faster (and with much less hassle)
- We added Nomorobo spam/robocall blocking - enable in your number's options menu!
- We added text auto-responses! You can now set up a message that will be automatically sent back to anyone who texts you. Find and set up this option in your number's menu.
Questions? Issues? Feature requests? Get in touch anytime at support@unlistedapp.com and we'll be there for you!

1. If you have multiple Unlisted numbers, your number's name is now displayed when you get a call so you know which line is ringing. This fixes a change that came about due to the way iOS 14 now displays incoming calls.
2. Anyone with a custom font or accessibility setting might have run into some screens being too large to use. These screens should now adjust automatically and scroll where necessary.
Have you noticed any issues? Have any feature requests? We're all ears! Please write us any time at support@unlistedapp.com and let us know!

If the number you pick becomes unavailable, you can now pick a new one more easily.
Version 2020.19:
If you're not on an unlimited plan, you may have noticed that outgoing calls that didn't connect showed a duration of a few seconds. You weren't ever actually charged for these seconds, but we've now made this more explicit and the duration shows zero seconds. If the person you called was busy, we now also show "Busy" in the call list.
Version 2020.12:
Playing a video or audio message will now play on the speaker (or headphones if you have them on). Previously, the audio would play through the earpiece, and only if the ring switch was on.

We're sending out updates as soon as they are ready. Here are some other things we've changed and fixed in the last weeks:
Update 2020.22:
This update fixed a few user reported bugs. Thank you — you know who you are! Here are some specifics:
- Blocking a number now removes unread messages and unheard voicemails from the badge count so they don't linger around
- The Message button in the voicemail options menu was broken. Now it's not!
- Receiving a call while you were in another call could cause the occasional crash. That's now fixed.
Update 2020.21:
If the number you pick becomes unavailable, you can now pick a new one more easily.
Update 2020.19:
If you're not on an unlimited plan, you may have noticed that outgoing calls that didn't connect showed a duration of a few seconds. You weren't ever actually charged for these seconds, but we've now made this more explicit and the duration shows zero seconds. If the person you called was busy, we now also show "Busy" in the call list.
Update 2020.12:
- Playing a video or audio message will now play on the speaker (or headphones if you have them on). Previously, the audio would play through the earpiece, and only if the ring switch was on.

Update 2020.10:
- Fixes bug that caused contacts to not load on the first launch after the update
Update 2020.09:
This release is focused on your three most frequent requests that we've put off for too long! We have some more coming soon, but wanted to get this out ASAP:
- If you have enabled notifications, they will now show your contact's name instead of just the phone number!
- VoIP calling is now more reliable for users behind a firewall or router
- Messages that are successfully sent will show a "Sent" status
Some more details on those for those interested:
- Showing your contact's name in the push notification is something we have wanted to do for a long time, but it is tricky since notifications are sent from our server and we don't upload your contacts. This means we don't have any way to put the caller or text sender's name in the notification since we don't actually have it (this is a good thing!). Now what we do is send the same push notification but have the app intercept it before you see it. It then looks up the phone number in your contacts and replaces the number with the contact's name in the notification. So now you will always know who is texting or calling you! This will work for both iOS and private Unlisted contacts. Of course, this is only for users who have actually enabled access to their contacts and have not set their notifications to "Off" or "Private" — in those cases, you won't see anything new here :)
- VoIP calling is tricky for all kinds of reasons that we have previously solved, but this update will help about 10% of our users whose networks are blocking their audio. At a basic level, a call has two signals: one manages it and the other carries the audio. Sometimes the first signal will get through so the call connects, but then the other signal is blocked so you don't hear anything. This is frustrating to say the least! We now use two techniques to make sure the call connects fully: 1) We are using a STUN server to help your app know where it is on the internet (this is not always obvious when you are behind a firewall), 2) if necessary, we will relay the audio through another server (called a TURN relay) so that your firewall doesn't block it. In the end, these two techniques should make sure that far more calls get connected!
- When sending messages, we show a "Sending..." message below the last bubble. When sent, that status disappears. This has lead many of us to wonder...did it send?!?! (It did.) Well now, instead of removing it, we show "Sent". This one was easy.
We are a small team that frequently adds features that our customers request, so please get in touch if you have an idea for Unlisted! You can always message us in the app, or via email at support@unlistedapp.com. Thanks!

2020.18
2020-07-01
This update fixes a few things under the hood. Most of you won't notice a thing, the rest of you might see things running a bit smoother!
We're sending out updates as soon as they are ready. Here are some other things we've changed and fixed in the last days:

We're sending out updates as soon as they are ready. Here are some other things we've changed and fixed in the last days:

This update fixes a few nagging issues to make your life easier. Specifically, if you are adding a number with a free credit, we have added a confirmation step so you make sure to get the number you want. We've also fixed an issue that prevented you from picking a new number should your initial choice turn out to be no longer available.
We are a small team that frequently adds features that our customers request, so please get in touch if you have an idea for Unlisted! You can always message us in the app, or via email at support@unlistedapp.com. Thanks!

This update fixes a few small bugs under the hood. Specifically, we have updated our VoIP calling engine to ensure a better connection when changing networks (i.e. from WiFi to cellular).

This update fixes a few small bugs under the hood. A few of you may notice that some things run a bit more smoothly; the rest of you won't notice anything at all!

2019.13
2019-12-10
This one is a small but exciting update: we've made the missed call notifications more informative so you know who called and which number they called! We're sorry it took so long to make this happen.

You can now transfer private contacts into Unlisted and get them off your phone. We've also added a logout button in the settings. And we fixed the ability to delete your numbers. You will find this option in each number's options menu. Finally, we renamed the "Unlisted Bot" to "Unlisted Support" since we are actually on the other end (and are pretty sure we're not robots).

Unlimited usage of real phone numbers to call & text anyone. Try it free! Your personal caller ID is hidden and not connected in any way, just like with all of our plans.
We now offer unlimited plans for $9.99 after a free three day trial. You can get a new number or upgrade your existing prepaid numbers. If you'd like to upgrade an existing subscription plan, please contact Support and we'd be happy to help you out.
Of course, you can always stick with our pay-as-you-go plans depending on what you need from your second number. They aren't going anywhere, we promise!
Important note: This update will require you to log in again. Please use the same email address that you setup your account with (or later added/updated in settings) so that we can log you in to the same account with all of your Unlisted numbers and data. If you have trouble finding the correct email address, please contact us at support@unlistedapp.com and we'd be happy to help out. Your best bet is to look for an email from getkeepsafe.com.
This update has a ton of huge updates under the hood, including optimizations to make the app quicker and snappier overall, but we wanted to call out one more huge update: our new VoIP calling system. We've re-implemented it from the ground up and you will see that not only are calls quicker to connect, but also more reliable and with better audio quality.
We think you're going to be really happy with the new Unlisted!
If you ever have any questions or think we can help with something, please send us an email at support@unlistedapp.com. If it is a question about your account, the best way is to contact us from inside the app (in the side menu), so that we can see your account information. Thank you!

This version has a few small but useful fixes:
* It is a bit easier to find and recover expired numbers
* If you are recovering a prepaid number, you can now choose a 1 month option
* Blocking a number now lets you know how to unblock it (go to the settings menu and remove it from Blocked Numbers)
* Contacts with custom number labels would not appear in the number picker. Now they do!
* A few other small tune ups to make common tasks more efficient under the hood
* The support email address has now changed to support@unlistedapp.com. Say hi anytime :)

This version fixes a few things under the hood, as well as a problem that prevented some users from switching away from their forwarding number. Please contact us via the in-app side menu if you encounter any issues or if we can ever help with anything!
3.23.1
2019-06-17
This small update fixes a few crashes that were happening for users with PIN enabled.
Last week was also a big update with the two most requested features: blocking other numbers & restoring your previous numbers!
= You can now block a number by swiping on any conversation or call and choosing "Block". You can view blocked numbers (and unblock them) from Settings.
= If you accidentally delete or let a number expire, you can now go to the Settings (on the side menu) and restore it from there. We only have access to your number for a few days after it is deactivated, so please act quickly if you need it back.
On top of that, we've added a ton of little things throughout the app:
= iPhone 7s and later have haptic feedback (very small vibrations) in response to various actions. You can disable this in your iOS settings if you want, but we think you'll like it!
= Did you ever notice the round "New Message" button floating around on its own? That wasn't supposed to happen and now it's fixed.
= Prepaid plans now display their expiration date in the number options (tap the button on the top right to get there)
= It was a little too easy to delete an entire message conversation. We've added a confirmation to make sure you don't accidentally delete anything you didn't mean to.
= There were some small things "under the hood" that have been fixed to stop some occasional crashes & improve performance
That's it! We hope you find the new changes helpful and always welcome your feedback. Please get in touch with any questions, comments, or ideas. We're always reachable at unlisted-support@getkeepsafe.com.

We have new features in this update that we're excited to share with you!
Two new number options, both accessible from number's Options tab:
- Add a color to a number and it will appear throughout the app. This helps you determine which number you are using when dialing & texting.
- You can set notification settings per number. The options are Normal, Private, and None. This gives you full control over what the notification shows, in case you want to keep certain conversations private.
Another awesome feature being added is the ability to copy and paste images into chat!
