The ViaHero app is the home of your fully-personalized guidebook, created by your local Hero. Are you ready to travel with first-hand knowledge from a local? Let a Hero plan your next trip! Enter your travel preferences at www.viahero.com to be matched with a local Hero today. Your local Hero will plan your trip and make all in-country arrangements— saving you time and money.
How it works:
Go to viahero.com to select your local trip planning expert— we call them Heroes.
Within 24 hours your Hero will contact you to begin planning your trip!
In as little as a week, they will build a completely customized guidebook for your group’s interests and budget, and arrange anything on the ground that you need. The finished guidebook will be submitted in this app for easy access while traveling.
Once you’re on your trip you’ll use the app to travel independently on your own. Want a guide? No problem, your Hero can arrange that too!

Personalized Guidebook - Complete with your custom curated itinerary, descriptions & pictures, local recommendations, and country-specific info like laws and customs. Your guidebook will be stored on the mobile app, and available offline.
PREMIUM ($40/day/group) includes BASIC plus:
Offline Maps - Navigate the region with a tailor-made map loaded with your Hero's recommendations. Runs offline on our app.
In Country Phone Support - Keep in touch with your Hero while in the country by phone. (Standard roaming rates apply.)

- Remembering where you are. If you are on a trip and close the app, we make sure you are right back where you were when you come back.
- Using tagging on an event? We fix a bug that accidentally just showed you everyone on the trip instead of only showing the list of people tagged on that event.
- We fixed the hand off to Google maps and Apple maps so it always takes you to the correct location
