About Video-catch

Video-catch facilitates video analysis and video based feedback in the context of physical education and sport. This tool generates video clips directly during the match through the use of instant tagging.

Determine several tactical tags. Choose the length of clip, and catch the most important moments in learning situations during real play!

The different tags are stored in a clear dashboard to provide players directly with tactical feedback in the game. Give pointers or instructions to players by drawing in the player screen with a free hand drawing tool. Export these clips to others by using several standard share options.
Video-catch uses the iPad camera as the standard option. Tagging in other camera positions is available by the Wi-Fi signal from an action camera (i.e. Sony HDR-AZ1VB), or IP-camera that is connected to an Apple Airport.

This tool is developed for tactical instructions and feedback particularly within game-based approaches such as Teaching Games for Understanding (e.g. ‘Sport games’ by Koekoek, Dokman, & Walinga, 2014)
