About Wakey, Wakey

It's the middle of the night, and you are faced with that age-old question -- should I get up, or try and go back to sleep? You could, of course, glance at your phone to see what time it is. But then ... if you know exactly how little sleep you've been getting, you will spend the entire next day bemoaning the fact ("oh, I've only gotten x* hours sleep, I am dooooomed!").

Wakey, Wakey! solves both those problems.

First, it answers the question -- Should I Get Up?. Tap, the Alarm Clock button, set the time when you wish to arise, and how much earlier than that you are willing to bestir yourself. Then, in the wee hours, launch the app, click on the Should I Get Up? button, and your answer will be displayed before you.

Secondly, it conceals the time — within the app you will not actually know what time it is, and how tragically little sleep you have been getting. In this case, ignorance is bliss: you will be able to power through the day, because the mind is a powerful thing, and if you don't know that you've only gotten x hours of sleep, you will likely be able to function, at least somewhat, until you get a better night's sleep the next night.

[Note that for maximum effectiveness, either launch the app before going to bed, or rely on a combination of squinting, bad eyesight and physical concealment, so that when you do consult the app, in the wee hours, you do not inadvertently discover the actual time.]

*x is a depressingly small number that will vary from user to user
