About Whiz: Get answers from real people in real time!

Whiz is an on-demand, peer-to-peer app that connects a customer who has a question with a knowledgeable provider to answer their question. The app is interchangeable at the click of a button for the user’s convenience.

The app consists of 14 carefully curated categories:

* How It Works

>> As a customer:

The customer starts by choosing a category and topic that best correlates with their questions. Once the customer poses their question, they will choose the provider they want to help them through a list of available providers. Once they choose the provider the session begins and it lasts until the customer decides to end it.

>> As a provider:

The provider will click all the categories and topics he/she is skilled in. Once the provider is available to help a customer he/she will click the “on” button letting customers know they are available. If the provider gets picked to join a session with a customer the session will immediately begin. It will end ideally at the discretion of the customer but the provider has the ability to end the session at any time before the customer.

*Availability as a Provider
The provider can be available at any time, all he/she has to do is click a button to turn them on or off. If they are on, they will receive a notification every time a customer posts a question that falls under the topic they are knowledgeable about.

*Session Features
Each session begins as a text conversation but at any time during the session the customer or provider can turn it into a voice or video chat. The customer or provider can also upload photos or documents to add to the conversation and better enhance the quality of the session.

* Cost

>> As a customer:

Each session cost $0.99 per five minutes but the first five minutes are optionally free. As soon as the session begins, a timer will keep track of the session. The customer has full control on the duration of each session and can cancel the session at any time. If the session is canceled before it reaches the five-minute mark, the customer can opt out of paying the $1. If the session is not canceled before the five-minute mark, a prompt will appear on the screen asking the customer to cancel or continue their session. If the customer continues the session, they will then be charged for the first five minutes. After the first 5 minutes, the app costs $1/per 5 minutes.

>> As a provider:

Each session is timed and the provider gets paid based on the length of the service. The service is $0.99 every five minutes. However, the first five minutes are optionally free so the provider may or may not get paid for any service under 5 minutes. Any service more than 5 minutes guarantees the provider will get paid for their expertise. The provider may cancel the service early at their discretion but it may affect their rating and vice versa.

* Rating
Once the session is completed both the customer and provider must rate one another, honestly, on a 5-star scale.

* Added Bonus
The customer can use the app solely as a customer or as both a customer and provider. To do so the customer will fill out the extra provider-specific information when prompted to.
