Loved by 5M commuters and counting!

Key Features:

- Track your Ride in Real Time
- Widgets
- Schedule Alarms

- Step by Step Directions

Live bus and train times empower you with step-by-step navigation, allowing you to effortlessly glide through over 150 cities. But that’s not all! Our app provides real-time alerts ensuring you're informed about any interruptions, diversions, or Amtrak service updates before you embark on your journey.

Never miss your bus stop or train time again with our Get Off Alerts! And if you're always on the go, our momego feature offers one-tap ‘get me home’ journey planning. Planning your journey is a breeze with bus schedule and transit stop details for systems like the NYC Transit, NJ Transit, DC Metro, and more, right at your fingertips.

Keen to know the bus status? Our bus tracker lets you pinpoint the exact location of your bus or train on the map in real-time. Concerned about crowds? The app’s real-time crowding feature gives insights on how packed your bus transit or metro transit is even before it arrives. With our transit tracker, you’re always ahead of the game.

Amtrak passengers can rejoice as this transit app also supports Amtrak schedules, ensuring you always have your train tickets and timings handy. Not just Amtrak, our wide coverage extends to services like MTA, DC Metro, Sound Transit, New Jersey Transit, AC Transit, and many more.

For our NYC users, the bus app showcases a detailed NYC subway map and covers the entire MTA transit spectrum, from MTA bus time to MTA train time. And if you’re someone who values punctuality, our bus schedule and train time alarms will always keep you on your toes.

Welcome to the latest update of Momego! We've added some great new features to make your journey even easier and more enjoyable.

Introducing the new Alarms tab! Now you can set up different alarms to keep you informed and on track. Set a Location Alarm, and we'll notify you when you're approaching your destination, so you never miss your stop. Or, set an Arrival Times Alarm, and we'll send you the next three arrival times at your chosen stop, making sure you're always on time for your commute. Finally, set a Line Status Alarm, and we'll let you know of any service alerts affecting your line at a specific time each day, so you can plan ahead and avoid delays.

We've also added a new settings screen, with even more theme colors and app icons to choose from, allowing you to personalize your Momego experience. Change the map location dot to suit your style, or adjust the way arrival times are shown to best suit your preferences. And, for those of you who prefer imperial or metric units, you can now easily change the distance units.

As always, if you have any feedback or suggestions, please let us know through the app. Thanks for using Momego!

Whiz is ready for iOS 16, with Lock Screen Widgets, Shared with You, App Shortcuts and Look Around.

LOCK SCREEN WIDGETS
Now, you don't even need to unlock your iPhone to get up-to-date information on the public transit information that matters — it's always ready when you need it. Lock Screen widgets show you how your local train lines are doing, highlighting any delays that might occur.

APP SHORTCUTS
Full support for iOS 16's App Shortcuts means you can ask Whiz to take you home, show all nearby buses, and more all thanks to the power of the Shortcuts app. And because it's using Shortcuts, adding Whiz as a part of more complex automation workflows is a piece of cake — putting the ultimate in public transit information right at your fingertips.

SHARED WITH YOU
Trips are more fun with friends and family. That's why Whiz fully supports Shared with You for better planning. People can easily share live bus and train location information and more right from within the app, and you'll see it in a new shelf ready to be acted upon. It's never been so quick and easy to plan trips with others!

LOOK AROUND
Want to get a feel for a destination before setting off? Look Around support gives Whiz the ability to display a destination in 3D ahead of time. You can pan and zoom to get your bearings so you'll never reach a new city or stop without knowing exactly what to expect.

You'll also find a whole bag of bug fixes and small enhancements we've made over the summer. Until next time, happy commuting!

In this release: new iCloud Sync and Apple Watch app!

The biggest change you'll notice is that we have changed the way Sync works: now you don't need to use email or some weird login system - it's all built directly into iCloud, so all you have to do is flip the switch beside 'iCloud Sync' and all of your saved stations, locations and trips will automatically sync across all of your devices. Better yet, when you replace or upgrade your iPhone, you can relax knowing that all of your settings will automatically sync to your new device.

We've also updated our Apple Watch app to deliver a smoother experience. This is the first stage: it shows you all of the departure times near you. Next up we're working on a way to sync your saved lines and stations so they appear at the top of the list - coming soon!

And finally of course, LOTS of tweaks and bug-fixes throughout the app.

In this release: sync your favorites and settings across all of your devices. Just sign in using your email address, Sign in with Apple or your social media account and we'll make sure all of your saved stops, places and trips are synchronised. You can sign up from the Settings screen.

A quick note about privacy: we've made sure this service is as private as possible. We don't store your name, email address or social media login. Instead, our database stores a unique Sync ID that identifies you, but isn't related to your login details. Also, we use the industry-standard OAuth2 protocol to log in to your social media account (if that's the option you choose) rather than add the social media company's own code to our app. Finally, we use a 'passwordless' email system, so if you choose to use your email address to log in, we send you an email to log in, and your email address isn't stored on our database.

Until next time, happy commuting!

This is a small release with some bug fixes for the Trip Details screen.
2020.8.2 2020-08-13
This is a small release, adding a few new features, including:

• The user location dot/puck thingy now has a small arrow showing what direction you're facing, making it easier to find nearby stops
• Tapping on the keyboard's Search button now selects the first item in the search results list, instead of doing nothing, like it has done since 2013
• Service alerts appear below the station name in Trip Details, rather than above, which looked a bit weird
• Departure times have been tweaked slightly - the first arrival time is now bigger
• London Tube: now shows where the train is ('between Embankment and Waterloo') inside the departure board - we'll be rolling this out to other cities soon

There's much more to come this summer from us, so to all of our customers who've stuck with us all these years - thank you!
2020.8.1 2020-07-30
In this release, we've made some improvements to the Trip Details and Route Map screens.
2020.8 2020-07-25
In this release, we've made some improvements to the Trip Details and Route Map screens.
2020.7 2020-07-12
In this release, we've redesigned the Trip Details screen to give each step more breathing room - and it now updates with your location. Also:

• The Live Directions screen now automatically follows your direction when you're walking
• It's now a more pleasant experience when adding new saved locations
• When you tap on a stop or station in the Explore screen, the departure board is moved to the middle of the screen
• Small improvements to Dark Mode

Until next time, happy commuting!
2020.6.1 2020-07-03
In this release, we've added the ability for customers who choose not to allow Location Services to set their own default location, which will be used as 'My Location' throughout the app. We've also squashed a few bugs, and made some improvements for customers using Dark Mode.
2020.6 2020-06-30
In this release, we've fixed a few bugs on the Trip Details screen to make your commute easier.
2020.5 2020-06-06
In this release, you can add trips to your calendar, ask the app to remind you when it's time to leave, and lines which have more than one destination get more room in the Departures screen.

We've been sending out new features requested by you as fast as we can build them - but the list is starting to look a little sparse! Tap on 'Vote for new features' in the Settings screen to let us know what you would like to see in the app - the more votes, the faster it gets built!

Real-time crowding data is all the rage in these socially-distancing times, and we show how busy your bus is in many cities - Sydney, Auckland, Rome, Pittsburgh, NYC (Staten Island Express buses) and many more. As soon as your transit operator makes the data available - we'll get it in the app. Agencies around the world are working hard to build passenger counting systems - from the driver tapping a button when someone boards or leaves a bus all the way to electronic scales underneath train carriages. It won't be long before you see crowding information for your city if you don't already have it.

We'll be hunkering down over the next month to work on the deep-down data stuff - better routing, better service alerts and more. We'll be back with a new release before you know it.

Love the app? Rate us. Questions? Send us a message and we'll do everything we can to help.
2020.4.1 2020-05-22
In this release, we've fixed some bugs with search and departure boards.
2020.4 2020-05-06
New in this release: Deep Search, Siri Shortcuts, Favorite Stops widget, delays, sharing and much more!

DEEP SEARCH

If you’re like us, there’s a huge number of bus routes around you, and you don’t know where most of them go. The destination only tells you where it ends – which isn’t much good if you want to know which buses or trains go downtown. We’ve made this a lot easier – you’ll find a new search bar on every departure board. Just type in what you’re looking for (a street name, a town… anything you like) and we’ll show you which lines go there. It works for the Lines tab as well.

SIRI SHORTCUTS

You can now add departure boards, live tracking and route maps to Siri Shortcuts.

DELAYS

We’ll let you know if your bus or train is delayed and by how many minutes.

SHARE STOPS & LINES

You’ve been able to share trips with your friends and family for a long time, and now you can share stop departure boards and route maps as well.

Until next time…

2020.2.2 2020-03-30
This release contains a number of bug fixes to make your commute a little easier.
2020.2 2020-03-26
You voted, we listened: introducing Line Status Alerts!

You'll find a couple of new options in the Settings tab (we changed it to Settings because... well, that's really what its used for now), where you'll find Line Status Alerts. Switch it to Commute Only (for alerts between 7AM-9AM and 5PM-7PM on weekdays) or Always, and we'll send you alerts when your favorite lines are having issues. Don't know how to save lines? It's easy, just open a route map and tap on the star icon on the top-right corner.

We've also added the first of our new Premium features - up until now, the Premium version of the app just removed ads, but we wanted to reward customers with great new features. In this release, we've added Commute Alerts and Custom App Icons, exclusively for Premium customers. If you want to go Premium, just go to the Settings tab and purchase Whiz Premium. It's a one-off purchase - no subscriptions. You'd be helping us continue development of the app, and there a lot of great new Premium features coming out this year.

COMMUTE ALERTS
Switch on Commute Alerts in the Settings tab and we'll send you a notification each weekday at 8AM and 5PM letting you know about any issues on your saved lines.

CUSTOM APP ICONS
Match the app icon to your tastes with over a dozen colors to choose from.

Until next time!
2020.1.4 2020-03-11
New in this release: new dashboard with quick search buttons and departure boards, faster startup, what3words search and several bug fixes.

NEW DASHBOARD
We've updated the dashboard to make it quick and easy to see departures near you, along with buttons for your saved places.

FASTER STARTUP
We started this app back in 2013, and it's picked up a lot of cruft along the way. We took some time out to rebuild the app from scratch and leave out anything that wasn't necessary. Now, the app should open faster than it did before.

WHAT3WORDS SEARCH
If you're looking for directions to a very specific place (say, the arrivals entrance at an airport, or the ticket stall at a stadium) putting in the address can sometimes send you to a different part of the building. Well now that hassle is over - if you know the three-word address for that location from what3words we'll get you directions to that exact spot!

Finally, you can now vote for the next feature we build (or add your own to the list) - just tap on the More tab to find out more.

Until next time, happy commuting!

5.3.5 2019-07-01
Hello everyone – it’s time for a new release! This time, we’ve added the ability to save your daily routes for quick access, and we’ve added service alerts throughout the app – on arrival boards, route maps and the Live Tracking screen.
As you move through the app, you’ll see what issues your local routes are facing today – on the Routes screen, you’ll see a green tick if everything’s good, or a warning sign if there’s going to be trouble on your line. Right now, we’ve got over 80 cities covered with live service alerts, with more coming every week. If your city isn’t covered – let us know, we’ll do everything we can to get you the latest information as soon as possible.

We’ve also added some features to further protect your privacy – all usage statistics are anonymous, and sent to our own servers instead of third-party analytics tools. What this means for you is that none of your usage data (which screens you look at, which city you’re in, etc.) gets shared with anyone else. This process will be complete by October 2019.

You can also disable usage tracking as well (you can find the switch in the More screen). Now the only information that’s shared is with our advertising partners – and if you upgrade to our Premium edition (again, you can do that in the More screen), you can go ad-free and use the app in complete privacy. We have never stored details of which trips you take without your permission – and we never will.

Finally, we want to thank each and every one of you for choosing our app to make your commute easier. We read every email and message you send us, and we have a whole lot of new features to bring to you this summer and beyond.

5.1 2019-02-08
We've added live departure boards to your saved stops and stations in the Favorites screen, so you can quickly see which services are approaching each stop. Sometimes, though, you only want one or two routes - so tap on the route names at the top of each stop's departure board so you'll only see the routes you care about.

The app now remembers which screen you were on the last time you used it, and we fixed a bug that prevented the app from finding your location in some cases.

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who contacted us to ask for their city to get live service alerts - we're hard at work adding as many cities as possible, and we'll notify our customers in each city as they go live.
5.0.1 2019-02-06
A major new release and a new name – welcome to Whiz! The same simple app, but with a whole lot of new conveniences for your daily commute. We hope you enjoy it!

NEW: Service alerts and advisories in trip details – so if there’s major delays or construction work going on, we’ll let you know about it before you head out the door. Now available in 13 cities including New York, Sydney, London, Denver, Vancouver and more. We’re adding extra cities each week as well. Want your city? Let us know!

NEW: Get Off Alarms to let you know when it’s time to transfer.

NEW: Search for stops and stations (you can search for stop numbers as well).

NEW: Settings has become More - with local information such as Lost & Found contact information in select cities (we're adding more each week).

We've spent a lot of time smoothing out rough edges in the app - our goal is to make your commute as seamless as possible. We've made some subtle changes to the graphics, improved VoiceOver controls and a whole lot of riding back and forth on a bus with a phone tethered to a laptop to make sure everything works great!

We love feedback! Send your suggestions to talk@travelwhiz.app or follow us on Twitter at @TalkToWhiz.

4.11.1 2018-12-21
This is a small release that fixes a few bugs.

v4.11:
LIVE TRIP PLANNING

So here’s the problem with trip planning: as soon as you ask for directions, they’re stale. Buses and trains get delayed, or you might miss your connection. Even though the trip details are ‘live’ when we send them to you, as soon as a minute passes, they might not be accurate any more.

So we’ve added live departure boards to each stage of your trip. These update every thirty seconds to make sure you know exactly when your bus or train will arrive. Best of all, they keep working even after your trip has finished – they’ll keep showing the next arrivals days and weeks after you got those directions, which brings us to…

SAVE YOUR TRIP FOR LATER

Okay, that’s already part of the app. But now it’s a whole lot more useful. When you tap on the star icon at the top of the trip itinerary screen, you can give that trip a name (‘Commute to Work’, for example). Now, instead of asking for a fresh set of directions every day, you can just tap on your saved trip and see live departure times for each stage of your trip, day after day.

This isn’t the kind of thing you want to keep to yourself, so we’ve introduced…

SHARE YOUR TRIP

Now you can send a link to anyone using Messages, WhatsApp, email and more – even if they don’t have the app. Anyone with an Internet connection can view the trip you’ve sent to them – a great way of letting someone know when you’ll arrive (or even helping someone from out of town find their way). Just tap on the new Share icon on the top-right of the trip itinerary screen.

Finally, we've updated the subway departure board to give you more departures in less space.

More to come very soon!
4.11 2018-12-18
