William Control

Producer, writer, engineer, front-man, all-round artist and rising icon of the majestic fusion of electronic darkwave, industrial goth, new wave punk, and glam rock, William Control is a man of many personas and masks.

As lead vocalist for Seattle-based rockers Aiden, William was never a shy character. The charismatic vocalist’s performances evoke such punk and glam legends as Iggy Pop, David Bowie, and Ian Curtis, while creating a new standard in uniquely compelling onstage performance excellence. Over thirteen years, Aiden released 6 full length albums, 2 EPs, and a live album, and toured throughout the world, finally putting the band to rest in 2016.

As a producer, WILLIAM CONTROL melds together a dark, industrial substratum with strains of new wave sensibility reminiscent of New Order, Bauhaus, Gary Numan, and Depeche Mode. Within his solo effort, William has released 4 full-length albums ('Hate Culture' (2008), 'Noir' (2010), 'Silentium Amoris' (2012) and 'The Neuromancer' (2014)), an EP ('Novus Ordo Seclorum' (2011)), 2 acoustic albums ('Skeleton Strings' and 'Skeleton Strings 2' (2013 and 2014 respectively)) and 2 live albums/DVDs ('Live In London Town' (2012) and 'Babylon' (2014)). 'The Pale EP', the first part of his latest and most ambitious sonic deliverance, 'Revelations', was released on October 14th 2016. This album will be split into 4 separate EPs: 'The Pale' was followed by 'The Black' in February 2017, with 'The Red' and 'The White' still to come. His darkly fanciful sounds have also lent themselves to horror, with soundtrack contributions on 'Saw V', 'Underworld: Rise of the Lycans' (both 2009), and 'Underworld: Awakening' (2012).

Finally, as an author, William has released a trilogy of novels, 'Revelator: Book 1 The Neuromancer', "Revelator: Book 2 The Hate Culture", and ''Revelator: Book 3 The Heaven Of Hell'', which bring to life the nihilistic story of William Control, as told from the stand point of a very unrealistic narrator. Initially released for preorder on 10-10-2013, the first edition sold out almost immediately, leaving fans clamoring for a second edition within hours. A full release came on 10/28. A man speaking from many perspectives, all of which coalesce in a collective sense of suppressed identity and desires, William Control uses the discordant voices in his head to consummate his varied and seemingly divergent conclusions into a celebratory affirmation of lives and passions living outside of mainstream acceptance. Whether with his voice, his musical styling, or words, he demands validation and recognition for a subculture all but denied existence, and in doing has built a cult-like following of devotees from around the world.
