Emma has worked tirelessly for the last few years providing amazing support to anyone who’s been in touch. Not only has she done an amazing job (you just need to look through the reviews to see people mentioning what great support they get), but she’s freed up a lot of time for me to work on fixing issues and adding new features. All this whilst raising an amazing kid and enduring a global pandemic.

Emma is now moving on to a great new opportunity and I’d like to take this chance to thank her and wish her all the best for the future. Thanks so much Emma!!

Added a French translation to the app! If you spot any typos or other bugs in the French please let us know.

Also I realised that I'd neglected to translate the hardcoded list of countries into Spanish. This is now done.

And after feedback from Bobbiann I renamed Kiev > Kyiv and L'viv > Lviv. Thanks Bobbiann :)

Last but not least, I fixed some bugs in the timezone calculator.

Last but not least, fixed a few rare crashes.

# New in 2020.6

- iOS 14 widgets! This app was the first ever world clocks widget app, released on day one of iOS 7. Seven years later I'm proud to be here on day one of iOS 14 and the new home screen widgets
- Various look & feel improvements have been added throughout the app
- You can now see the "availability" status of each of your timezones
- The app now tells the system when you use Time Travel so that Siri can suggest it when you need it

I've worked all summer on this update. Special thank you to Premium Club members who make that possible.

Inspired by the success of the new analog clocks, I decided to re-write how the digital clocks work to make them more stable and versatile for the future.

The only place this is really noticeable is in the settings screen where the digital clock shown in the preview matches what you see in the main app.

I’ve also tweaked the layout of the widget so that it will make more use of available space and made renaming clocks a bit easier.

Last but not least, I've laid the foundations for doing additional translations. If you'd like to see World Time in your language, or you'd like to help with translation, please let me know!

# 2019.13

This release fixes some crash issues introduced with iOS 13. So sorry about that!

Lewis

# 2019.12

As always I’ve done my best to keep up with the great changes Apple has made for iOS 13:

-Full Dark Mode support!
-[Premium Club] Set an individual theme for both dark and light mode
-[Premium Club] Set the app icon distinctly from the app theme
-The widget has also been updated to reflect the new look in iOS 13. I've decided to drop themes from the widget because I don't think they make sense with Apple’s new overall widget design. Please let me know if you think this is a step backwards
-Where appropriate the new “Material” blurs are used
-This build drops support for iOS 12. Onwards and upwards!

There’s also some great new features which aren’t related to iOS 13:
-Option to sort timezones East to West
-Performance improvements in the main screen
-Performance improvements on the search screen
-The “What’s New” screen shows the same theme as the rest of the app
-Improved German localisation
-Crash fix for deleting a timezone when the advice about setting up the widget is showing

I’d like to take a quick moment to thank Premium Club Members for supporting development of this app. Keeping pace with Apple changes takes up a big chunk of time every year and your support allows me to get it done.

If you spot any issues or have any feedback I'd love to hear it! Please contact me from within the app as this includes useful log info.

I've added support for Dynamic Type for analogue clocks screen in the main app - it was already supported in the Today Widget.

As part of this change I've updated how you edit the names of timezones to use a popup instead of the inline way.

Also fixed a crash affecting new users trying to dismiss the help advice you see in the first run.

Lastly, I've updated the subscription screen to reflect recent policy changes from Apple.

Thanks for all your support as always,

Introducing World Clocks for Apple Watch!

- See your custom time labels on Apple Watch
- [Premium Club] Use the great time travel feature to quickly scroll ahead in time from your wrist

And that's not all! There's improvements in the main app too:

- Timezones are automatically synched with iCloud
- [Premium Club] You can now configure the app, widget and watch app to show the time to the second
2019.4 2019-03-17
Thanks to everyone who was in touch about the change in how the app is supported. Anyone who has previously paid for the app will now be a Founder member until 2021 (longer if you left a tip).

After that there is an ANNUAL subscription of $1.99 (it is not an expensive monthly subscription as some people worried).

With that said, I'm excited for this new release as I've added some of the most requested features:

- Analogue clocks in the Today Widget
- Create a calendar appointment from your time zone calculations (Premium Club / Founders only)
- Share the results of your timezone calculations (Premium Club / Founders only)
2019.3 2019-03-08
World clocks is almost 5 years old and I am more exited than ever to keep working on it to stay up to date with the great hardware and software that Apple makes.

However, in order to keep this support going I need to update how the app is supported.

So today I am moving to a subscription pricing model which will allow me to keep working on the app and maintain it's position as the best world clocks app in the App Store.

Customers who have already paid will continue to have access to the features they paid for until at least the end of the year.

Thank you so much for your support.

With this update I'm slowly rolling out support for looking up locations from the cloud. So going forward you will be able to add any city, not just the ones listed in the app. As a nice aside of this feature, if you are using the app in a language other than English the place names from the cloud will be returned in your language.

There's also a bug fix around the contact screen looking wrong on some themes.

If you have any comments, concerns or complaints in future don't hesitate to be in touch.
