Some issues are Hereditary, but not these ones! We've further updated the game to do the following:
- improved controller support; menus and puzzles now shine with a gamepad
- fixed some typos
- addressed several small bugs that you probably didn't notice, but drove us nuts

Would you look at that! It's Halloween! What a perfect time to address a few Gremlins that have been being naughty. Thankfully things aren't a total Creepshow in here — so we were able to make the following updates:
- Fixed a loading bug that could cause you to appear in an incorrect room
- Made some minor audio changes for a creepier experience
- Fixed a few typos

It's not you, it's US. We had to fix something, so this update includes all of what made v1.0.4 so spooky:
• new HARD and NIGHTMARE difficulty modes for extra challenge and replayability! Think you can sneak past those terrible things without getting caught? Lose all your lives and it's good-bye, save game! Hard mode is available right away; finish the game on this setting to unlock the extra-tough Nightmare difficulty!
• improved hints for certain puzzles to avoid confusion
• updated pathing for monsters in the final area to make things a little fairer
• a fix for a weird, rare bug where the projector puzzle could be solved prematurely
• improved checkpoints in certain levels
• nigh-invisible adjustments to some text and graphics (because we’re obsessive)
As well as:
• a fix for an audio / volume bug that snuck in when we were asleep

Don't SCREAM, but this new update adds a major new feature:
• new HARD and NIGHTMARE difficulty modes for extra challenge and replayability! Think you can sneak past those terrible things without getting caught? Lose all your lives and it's good-bye, save game! Hard mode is available right away; finish the game on this setting to unlock the extra-tough Nightmare difficulty!
And of course IT FOLLOWS that we'd include some great tweaks as well:
• improved hints for certain puzzles to avoid confusion
• updated pathing for monsters in the final area to make things a little fairer
• a fix for a weird, rare bug where the projector puzzle could be solved prematurely
• improved checkpoints in certain levels
• nigh-invisible adjustments to some text and graphics (because we’re obsessive)

Like with Frankenstein's monster, sometimes the pieces just don't all fit together.
This release fixes:
- an issue at the end of the game where pausing could cause a crash
- a rare issue where pausing the game could cause cause puzzle screen items to get jumbled (I mean, seriously?)
- a few minor typos we spotted while dredging the text lake

Remember how in that old black-and-white horror show, that guy saw the gremlin on the wing of his plane? We saw just such a creature messing with our game code, so we squashed it. Should be smooth flying now.
