Wyoming Traveler

This minor release fixes these issues:

1. The highway labels disappeared when we upgraded the underlying map technology. This fix brings the labels back
2. We renamed the "Filter" tab back to "Legend". You can still filter the pins you see, but we felt the purpose of it is mainly as a legend, so we renamed it back.

This version updates the underlying Map software to get the latest bug fixes and improvements.

We've made many changes on both the backend and the frontend of the app:

• All layers are now free of charge
• You can change the map style to one of several options. Access from the Settings tab
• The Legend has been renamed to Filter. It still provides legend information, but you can also filter out certain markers you don't want to see
• News pins for most data layers
• The refresh button has been moved from the Layers menu to a button right on the map, in the upper left corner
• Cleaned up the UI on the Search tab
• Disabled the truck restrictions layer; the data is no longer available

This is a mandatory update due to the old server going out of commission in mid-September. Please update; the old versions will stop working. We've also added a new layer for wildfires!

This is a bug fix release, with a few improvements as well:

• Better operation while the device is in dark mode
• Added more weather stations
• Made the truckers package visible in the menu
• Improved the UI for receiving free trials
• Fixed bugs on the announcements screen
• Many other small fixes

It has been almost a year in the making: Wyoming Traveler has been rewritten from the ground up. Not only will you find a shiny new interface, but there are few new features. Here are the details:
• Side menu has been replaced with tabs and smaller menus
• New color theme, plus you can change it
• More alerts are being shown
• New layers for truckers providing weigh stations, restrictions, and parking (In-app purchase)
• Now you can get free trials for any in-app purchase features
• Search! Now you can search for roads, towns, or most any place on a map
• Some layers have a legend, so you know what the colors and icons mean
• Weather station pins now display the current temperature and are color-coded
• Weather data now includes visibility
• Weather stations also show any traffic cameras nearby
• Some alerts now show the portion of the road the alert is for
• Variable speed limit signs now show the current speed directly on the map pin
• A new road overlay was added: Impact
• A new alternate fuel layer added (In-app purchase)

• UI improvements on iPad
• Squashed some bugs

WY Traveler is now a free app! But don't worry all you previous purchasers; you have premium status which means you will not see ads, and all future enhancements will be free. To get things rolling, this version includes historical markers.

• Fixed bug where an empty screen would show when tapping on an rest area
• Fixed problem where alerts were not updating
• Alerts now have different severities, showing different colors: red for high severity, orange for medium, and yellow for low
• Improved surface and weather overlays to include all managed roads

• Fixed a bug that prevented iOS 6 users from running the app

• Data on map now auto-refreshes
• Added new app store feature for purchasing add-ons and downloading other Traveler states
• Removed annoying dialog to rate the app
• Showing a larger camera view image on iPad

• Fixed a bug where variable speed limit signs were not displaying properly.
• Fixed a bug where the weather condition Snow was displayed with the wrong color.

Version 2.0 is a complete rewrite from the ground up.

• Now a universal app; supports iPad and iPhone.
• Not just portrait anymore; you can view the map in landscape also
• Redesigned the menu to be more modern and scalable
• Switched the underlying map technology from Apple’s to Google’s. This gives us the traffic overlay feature and the ability to tap directly on the road overlays to get details.
• New icon
