We’re excited to introduce two new features that will improve YouNow’s guesting experience and equip broadcasters with powerful tools to make their content more fun, engaging, and participatory.
Hand Raise:
We’ve simplified the interactive experience on YouNow. Broadcasters can implore their audience to raise their hands to volunteer for guest broadcasts, answer questions, or participate in other creative ways. It’s now easier than ever to engage audience members on YouNow.
Users simply tap the hand icon over the stage to participate.
The user will be prompted to enable their camera and microphone, so a broadcaster can easily drag volunteers into the broadcast, and video will load automatically.
If someone’s hand is not raised and a broadcaster invites them into the broadcast, they will receive an invitation prompting them to accept or decline the invite.
Any audience member who has their hand raised will be visible in the chat, top fans list and audience list.
Drag and Drop:
We’ve also simplified the guest onboarding experience for broadcasters, retiring the old queuing system and introducing easy drag-and-drop functionality.
As a broadcaster, you can now hold down a person’s profile picture who’s hand is raised, and drag your desired guest up to the broadcast.
Guests can exit a guesting experience by simply tapping the “X” button in the bottom right hand corner or by dragging themselves out of the broadcast.
