8 сентября 1941 года началась самая долгая и страшная осада за всю историю человечества. Город на Неве разрывали нескончаемые бомбежки, люди умирали от голода и холода… Казалось, гибель неминуема… Спасением для истерзанного Ленинграда стала Дорога жизни. Военная трасса №101 вела из осажденного города прямо через Ладожское озеро на большую землю. По этому маршруту с сентября 1941 прошли тысячи караванов.
