دُعاءُ الجَوْشَن الصغير هو دعاءٌ عظيمٌ مَرْوِيٌّ عَنِ السَّجَّادِ زَيْنِ الْعَابِدِينَ 2 ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ 3 ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ( عليهم السلام ) ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ( صلى الله عليه و آله ) 4 نَزَلَ بِهِ جَبْرَئِيلُ ( عليه السَّلام ) عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ( صلى الله عليه و آله ) وَ هُوَ فِي بَعْضِ غَزَوَاتِهِ وَ قَدِ اشْتَدَّتْ ، وَ عَلَيْهِ جَوْشَنٌ ثَقِيلٌ آلَمَهُ ، فَدَعَا اللَّهَ تَعَالَى ، فَهَبَطَ جَبْرَئِيلُ ( عليه السَّلام )
