成立於民國五十六年(西元1967年)的台灣外科醫學會，致力於外科醫學之發展並發揚醫學倫理之道，促進各有關學術團體之交流，以聯絡國內外人士共同發揚外科醫學之研究、教學及應用為宗旨。
