袁阔成（1929—2015 ）辽宁营口人，出生于天津，是享誉海内外的评书艺术大师，有“古有柳敬亭，今有袁阔成”之说。
袁阔成在继承传统评书的基础上，不断探索，勇于创新，语言生动幽默，人物形象鲜明，具有“漂、俏、快、脆”的特色。内容新、风格新、语言新，代表作品有《三国演义》《西楚霸王》《水泊梁山》《烈火金刚》。
2015年3月2日凌晨3点30分，袁阔成先生因心脏衰竭，在北京去世，终年86岁。
