About Alphabear: Words Across Time
Alphabear 2 is an original English word puzzle game by Spry Fox, and the sequel to our hit 2015 game!
In Alphabear 2, you spell words by selecting letters on a puzzle grid. When you use letters that are adjacent to each other, bears appear! The more letters you use, the bigger the bear gets, and the more points you earn. Spelling words cleverly is the key to success!
Collect Bears:
When you solve the puzzles, you'll earn new bears for your permanent collection. These bears can team up to help you in future games! They increase the points you earn, extend your timer, modify the game board, and more.
Bear humor:
Fans of the original Alphabear will appreciate the much-improved "bear speech" -- the words you spell will appear in funny cartoons like always, but the all-new templates come with a huge variety of backgrounds and amusing props.
Built-in dictionary:

- Greatly reduced the possibility of getting just one level from a schooling many games in a row.
- Added fallback prizes to the tournament, for people who have earned all the tournament bears.
- Captain and Graffiti Bear have a cool new “+# to 1-lifetime tiles” power
- Fixed push notification bug that was causing some players to get spammed with notifications
- Fixed hint powers using frozen tiles
- Timer pauses when you tap a special tile
- Each tier of each tournament, one affinity will be banned. Don't get too comfortable!

- To qualify for the next phase of the tournament, your score must be high enough to put you in the top 50% of all players. (This percentage will be even smaller in the next phase!)
- If you can manage to reach the fourth and final phase of the tournament, which takes place on Thursday, you'll get major bragging rights as well as a big prize! (In general, each phase of the tournament gives much bigger rewards than the phase that came before it.)
And speaking of rewards, this update includes five new bears - three epic and two legendary - that can ONLY be won by playing in the tournament! The way this works: with each tournament phase that you complete, you'll earn tokens for the five new bears. It takes 100 tokens to unlock the epic bears and 200 tokens to unlock the legendary bears. Play well for several weeks and you'll eventually unlock them all!

This update includes a bunch of quality-of-life improvements based on your feedback!
- If you lose an event, you'll now get a consolation prize of honey and/or berries!
- The "no ads" (renamed "ultimate") bundle now includes an increase in your maximum honey amount from 100 to 150, and speeds up honey regeneration time by +10%, in addition to its other benefits! If you've already purchased the bundle, you get this retroactively.
- Depressed letter tiles are now darker and deeper to make them easier to distinguish from unchosen letter tiles.
- More reliable warnings when you're not prepared for an event and need to level up your bears more.
- Coins have been changed to a silver color, to reduce the likelihood that people confuse them with honey.
- The requirements for all tiers of a special event are now displayed, even when the tiers are locked, so you can see everything you'll need to finish the event.
- Tea Bear is now correctly tagged as a "drink" type of bear
- Fixed some balance issues that were causing daily events to have unreasonably high score targets for a small number of players
- The final level requirements for epic special events have been slightly reduced
- When checking the "bear requirements" for a special event, bears of yours that already meet the level requirement are marked with a green checkmark

-Special events have arrived! Every Thursday and Friday we'll have special events that you can play to eventually earn unique epic and legendary bears. These events have multiple tiers of difficulty, each with their own requirements. Level up your bears to complete them all!

- We've streamlined the School Mode to make it easier to understand. (Don't worry, your progress has been maintained)
- We've expanded later campaign chapters to include more missions per chapter.
- The bear-speech generation at the end of each match has been enhanced with new backgrounds/settings/poses. (Some of them are rare, so you may not see them all immediately, but they'll appear eventually!)
