About 1 Minute Chemistry Periodic Table Free

With this app, you can quickly learn to locate any element on the periodic table. During each round, random elements are shown and, given the periodic table, you will have one minute to find as many of them as possible. Knowing where elements are situated on the table can help students look up information much more quickly during tests and other work. By playing, they can also form patterns between an element’s properties and its placement on the periodic table.

Features
- Perfect for high-school and first-year university chemistry students
- Play against friends to see who can find the most elements in one minute!
- Great for linking chemical properties to element placement
- Save your high score and track your progress with achievements in Game Center (where available)
- Hear recordings of element names to learn how they are pronounced

Long-form version of the above features:
This fun and challenging game is designed for students who are learning basic chemistry at the high/secondary-school and first-year undergraduate level. It is important for all students and chemists to learn the general location of the elements on the periodic table. A lot of information about an element can be inferred from its position on the table: the number of protons, its electron configuration, and in turn some chemical properties like electronegativity and reactivity. Knowing this will save you a lot of time while working or during tests and exams.

In each round you will be asked to find a given element by touching it on the table. You have one minute to locate as many as you can. You can also hear recordings of their English names to learn how they are pronounced. Over time, you will be able to find 20 or 30 elements in sixty seconds — that’s one element every two seconds! Practise regularly to beat the highscore and unlock achievements in Game Center. Challenge your friends to find out who knows their periodic table best!

How to Use the App
- To begin the round, touch “Start Game”
- Find the element given at the top of the screen and touch it for the next question
- Elements will not be asked more than once in the same round
- For every correct answer, one point is added; no deductions for incorrect guesses
- If you wish, you may pass up to five times per round
- To change game options, touch “Preferences”
- Game Center can also be accessed through the Preferences screen (internet connection required)
- For more information and credits, touch the info button on the Main Menu
