About AnyMote Smart Universal Remote

Turn your iPhone or iPad into the most powerful remote to control the devices in your home. Download or create beautiful remotes so you won't need to look for your plastic ones around the house. You can forget about switching to separate apps for each of your smart devices.

Control your TV, DVD or BluRay Player, Set Top Box, Audio System, Air Conditioning, Media Player and many more, all using our beautifully designed, simple to use smart remote application. From a simple TV remote to a complex universal remote that commands absolutely everything in your home, AnyMote can make your smart home easier to control.

We're committed to continuously provide remotes for smart devices controlled either through IR commands or over the WiFi network.

• SMART REMOTES: Create single remotes to have commands from all your devices.
• MACROS: Chain commands and have them executed in sequence (Movie Mode, Custom TV Channels, Light Patterns–sky's the limit)
• AUTOMATED TASKS: Set commands to be automatically executed by the app based on certain factors (Sunset/Sunrise, Timer, Volume buttons...)
• TODAY WIDGET: A special remote control that sits in your Today Notifications so you can execute most used commands without opening the app
• SIRI: Use Siri Shortcuts to execute commands through AnyMote
• VOICE CONTROL: Use your voice to execute commands through AnyMote. No external device needed!
• WATCH APP: Your favorite remotes at your wrist so you don't have to even unlock your phone.
• GESTURES: Use this section of the app without any distractions using gestures such as tap, swipe and rotate for most used commands.
• EDIT: AnyMote has a powerful remote editor that allows you to customize each remote to make it your own.

Infrared (IR) Remotes:

Control over one million devices over Infrared (you need an AnyMote Home IR Hub, a Broadlink RM or Global Cache iTach for this functionality). Make those devices smart by combining remotes into a single universal remote, set automated tasks or create complex commands made up from sequences of simple commands via the use of Macros.
We support over 99% of all brands in the world with devices such as TVs, Set Top Boxes, Air Conditioning, Video Game Consoles, Media Players which can be controlled via Infrared.

WiFi Remotes:

With more and more devices supported every month, AnyMote allows you to control the lighting, audio, video, electrical appliances in your home using just one app.

• Light: Control your Philips Hue, LIFX, Limitless LED, MiLight, Belkin, Insteon lights' brightness, color, power state
• Smart TV: Control your Samsung, LG, LG with WebOS, Sony (except Android TV), Sharp, Panasonic, Philips, Vizio (SmartCast™) smart TV sets including support for text entry, apps, channels, inputs
• Set Top Box: DirecTV, Onkyo, Amiko, TiVo
• Power Sockets: Belkin, Orvibo, TP-Link HS100/HS110
• Media Players: Roku, Plex, WDTV Live, Fire TV, Boxee, Kodi/XBMC, VLC
• Sound Systems: Sonos, Yamaha RX-V, Denon Receivers

You don't need any external device to control them, but for some of them you need to be connected to the WiFi network to send commands.

---

You will need an AnyMote Home IR hub, a Broadlink RM or Global Cache iTach to control older IR devices. This is not necessary for WiFi devices.

• fixed the channel list on LG WebOS TVs
• fixed an issue where Philips TV's volume slider was not imported as a slider in other remotes
• fixed an issue where the value picker with stepper was not registering the correct amounts when manually entered;
• fixed a crash on Broadlink discovery with no internet connection
• fixed a crash in the LIFX remote
• added visual feedback when commands are executed via Broadlink

You can now control your older devices with Broadlink RM external IR blasters!

Like we promised, we're keeping our promise of focusing on improving the app, and since we discontinued our in-house external IR solution to do so, we're not forgetting our customers that need to control older devices using Infrared commands. So, along with some other small fixes, you can now use your Broadlink RM device with AnyMote.

We also started a series of video tutorials which you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-AvL7lsFO-E4G6SNdgRSNf7nnYx2vluG . We're adding new episodes as we go, so make sure you subscribe.

This update has quite a few bug fixes along with awesome new features.

New Features:
• Added Yamaha RX-V Receiver Remote
• You can now remove a pending configuration from the remote list screen
• Unified discovery screens for devices with multiple versions (for example, Samsung TV only has one row, even though there are 3 supported APIs)
• Voice control in-app using Siri dictation is much better now, and even shows suggestions when ambiguous commands are detected
• The Samsung Tizen Wifi remote now has a Text button that allows you to send text even when the TV doesn't send the text input notification (which happens quite often)

Bug fixes:
• Fixed multiple instances of pending configurations in the remote list screen
• Fixed missing pending configurations in the remote list screen
• Fixed a few issues with Sony Smart TV Wifi remote
• Fixed LG Netcast Smart TV stability issue (you might still be shown the pairing screen on first use, but it now works even after power cycles)
• Fixed a crash in Voice Command

As promised, we won't let a month go by without adding a new WiFi remote to our app. In this update, you'll find not one, but two fresh remotes: Philips Smart TV and Insteon Hub!

This said, we're also continuously improving the app's stability, so we have a few bug fixes as well:
• Sonos Queue doesn't crash the app anymore
• Smart TV Inputs screen doesn't ahem!-crash the app anymore
• Fixed an issue where the description text in the app list screen doesn't scale properly
• Fixed the power commands that didn't work for some TV models (need to re-add remote to take effect)

New stuff:
• Insteon Hub WiFi remote. Note: The Insteon API is not very reliable, and commands are also very slow. Not much we can do about it, unfortunately. But if you're experiencing other issues with it, don't hesitate to tell us about it.
• Philips Smart TV WiFi remote
• The Roku WiFi remote now has channels support! Some of you have requested this feature for Roku TVs, so go check it out. You need to re-add the remote in order to benefit from this new feature.
• Added warning for unsupported Sony Smart TVs
• Added warning and explanations for Power commands that might not be available on some devices

We've been working hard on some long awaited features as well as a few annoying bugs introduced in the last update (sorry for that!). What you'll find after updating to this version:

Bug fixes:
• Alexa configuration is now back to normal. If the configuration screen still shows up as paired, but it hasn't been paired or commands still don't work, just tap the Settings button at the bottom of the screen and tap "Pair again" to fix it.
• IFTTT now works as supposed again
• Fixed issues with configuration for some LG and Samsung Smart TV WiFi remotes

Improvements and new features:
• Restructured Amazon Echo configuration screen to make access to information clearer (A single Settings button that provides access to the various options)
• Updating a Macro doesn't require you to add it again into the remotes where it previously was. You might still have to do that for old macros, in which case you'll be warned as before. But when creating new macros and adding them to remotes, they'll automatically be updated behind the scenes.
• For WiFi remotes of devices that support fetching the app list on the phone, when creating new remotes you'll be asked to optionally select your favourite apps, and they will be added as buttons in the respective remote for quick access without opening the list of apps.
• You can now add specific apps and channels into remotes, macros, tasks etc. by using the value icon next to the App List function when importing the command, similar to a specific value for brightness, volume and so on.

Please contact us if you're having any issues in using the app. We do our best to make everyone using our app happy. You can use the feedback form in the app to send us feedback of any kind, we take every single one into consideration.

We've got some exciting new features in this release that we think you're gonna love!

• First up, you can now control your devices with your voice from within the app! Just say things like "Send Channel Up to my TV" and voila! You can keep throwing commands at the app when you have your hands full. This feature is available on iOS 10 and later. Try it out by tapping the microphone icon on the top right of the remote and that will get you rolling.
• We added more buttons to the 2012 Samsung Smart TV wifi remote (for the devices that support them)
• We listened to our users and we added stronger support for Accessibility. You can now use Voice Over and Switch Control with your favourite remotes. We're always listening to your feedback, so please send your suggestions over to ios@colortiger.com and we'll definitely appreciate and try to implement as many of them as we can.
• This release also has a bunch of bug fixes, so we hope you'll really enjoy it.

New wifi remote! You can now control your Panasonic Smart TV over network.

We also fixed an issue related to IFTTT syncing where the device didn't ask for Push Notifications permissions, so if you weren't already using them, the commands didn't go through. To fix this, simply go to the IFTTT screen in the app, and you'll be asked for the permissions.

Plus stability improvements all over the app.

Happy New Year, dear friends!

With the holidays behind us, we rolled our sleeves and got to fixing some issues and added some new stuff along the way. You should install this build to improve the overall app experience and stability.

First, let's briefly touch new features:
• Added Alexa tips for consistent, all-the–time execution even when in background
• You can now get notified on all command execution via Alexa while the app is in background mode
• Improved support and reliability for multiple commands via Alexa (run command x times)
• AnyMote Home now stays connected all the time as long as it's in range. Changeable via the Settings.app
• Added manual disconnect in AnyMote Device List (swipe the row for this option)
• Fixes Backup errors with expired login
• Added Macro duration in Macro List in Settings

We also would like to thank you for sending your feedback to us, it helped us identify and fix some pretty annoying issues:
• Improved Belkin WeMo Device discovery
• Updated compatible commands screen to new UI
• Fixed Macros syncing with Alexa
• Improved macro execution in background mode
• Fixes crash sometimes in LG discovery
• Fixes Roku discovery of multiple devices (especially with some Sharp TVs)
• Fixes DirecTV discovery and commands
• Fixes Haptic feedback on older iPhones
• Fixes Amazon Echo pairing screen readability issue on iPhone 4s
• Fixes Record Remote getting stuck until app kill (just switch/reload the remote to exit recording mode)
• Fixes crash on Macro editing in fresh installs

As always, keep sending us feedback along the way and if you love the app, a positive review on the App Store is greatly appreciated.
