About Image Object

Image Object is an augmented reality installation that places you inside an immersive, free floating work by artist Artie Vierkant.

Image Object allows you to navigate around and through photographic alterations in the manner of Vierkant's alterations to their installation views, and record photos and video as you interact with them.

The composition of the installation changes daily, and loads automatically when the app starts. Viewers can also select an option to manually place a random altered fragment in the space around them, and create their own compositions by placing fragments around the room. Image Object can be used anywhere and does not have to be used within a space of exhibition.

Requires iOS 11 and a device capable of utilizing ARKit (iPhone 6S and more recent, including iPhone SE).
This app is released in conjunction with Vierkant's solo exhibition, "Rooms Greet People by Name", at Galerie Perrotin, New York, March 2018.
