Riffle - Fly fishing reports and community

It's April, snowpack is beginning to melt, and we're ready for the warmer weather. You're probably in the midst of finalizing your trip plans, which is why we're excited to launch our new Trips feature.

With Trips, you can create a trip to log all your memories. Take photos of your catches. And swipe left or right on the photos to add filters to them -- you might find some fun ones. Share your trip with your guide or other anglers and have a running memory of all the fish you caught and sights you saw.

Better yet, when your trip is over, don't lose the memories... print them into a photo book, or onto a cell phone case, or even a pillow! It takes just a few clicks to order prints directly from Riffle and have them shipped straight to your door.

We've made adding stickers to catch photos easier. And we've made it easier to see who added stickers to those catch photos as well.

Ain't no party until you can react to photos with stickers because a party where you can react to photos with stickers don't stop.

We're fixing bugs while you're hopefully out slinging bugs on the water.

As the weather gets colder, and many of us head inside for the winter, we're still hard at work making sure Riffle makes your fly fishing experience as great as it can possibly be.

For instance, posting pictures has never been the easiest process. But today it becomes easier. It becomes more obvious. It becomes better. We love it, we hope you love it, and we hope you post more often!

We've also significantly upgraded our Lessons feature -- giving anglers access to the best content helping to sharpen your skills. Especially in the cold winter months, when we might not be on the water as much as we'd like, at least we can spend some time reflecting and learning new skills.

Now you can change the Fishing Spots map type, from Satellite to Standard, and back. Save battery and data, especially if you're out on the river with limited or slow reception.

Continued improvements to give you the best experience getting to the right spots and having the most productive fishing.

Remember that kid in your classes who knew all the answers but would never tell you any of them? We hated that kid.

But recently we realized that WE WERE THAT KID. Oh man what a shock that was. Here we've been, sitting on a goldmine of data for fly fisherpeople and not exposing any of it to you in a way that makes it easy and useful. Our fishing reports are some of the best in the world, but anglers weren't using them because we made them to hard to find and understand. No longer!

So, with this version, we set out to change all that. We want you to think of Riffle the moment you know you're heading to the river or lake. We'll be there to give you real time info in the following three ways:
* Weather forecast. What's the weather like where you're going? When is the sunrise and sunset? What's the weather going to be like for the next few days? Remember, the best angler is always prepared.
* Water conditions. With real-time water conditions, including streamflow, gage height, and water temperature, you'll know exactly what to expect and know how the fish are likely to be responding. We even have trending data over the last 30 days to really give you the goods.
* Angler Reports. As more and more people use Riffle in your area, our systems will automatically get better. We'll be able to tell you the best times of day to fish, how productive the area has been recently, and even what flies to bring. Invite your friends to use Riffle and make the system work for you! Don't worry, we don't give away your secret spot.
