About Scarab - Movie Recommendations
Scarab is a personalized movie recommendation app that can suggest movies by learning about what movies you are interested in.
As you use Scarab to Like and Dislike, the app begins learning about your preference in movies. The more you tell Scarab about what movies you're interested in, the more personalized your recommendations will be.
Scarab also groups all of it's movies together by similarity. If you want to see a list of movies that are similar to each other, simply open up any Detailed Movie screen to see a generalized list of movies that are similar to the one you're viewing.
The process to generate recommendations begins after you have liked a few movies, so please be patient and make sure you take action on as many movies as possible!
**NEW: Starting November 2016, Scarab has an amazing and easy to use swipe-to-like feature which allows you to quickly scan movies, and decide whether or not you're interested in them. Swipe Right if you Like a movie, and Swipe Left if you do not.
In order to create the best experience for you, Scarab's algorithms will always a work in progress. If you come across something on the app that doesn't seem like it belongs, please use the contact form on the website and update our team!
