About The Other Contacts (TOC)
With The Other Contacts (TOC) you can create a completely independent contact agenda, isolated and inaccessible to the rest of the world. That way, applications and services like Facebook (and Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp), Google, LinkedIn, Telegram, Tinder, your bank, your calendar or mail app, etc. will not be able to access the contacts that are stored in TOC.
Every time an application asks access to your iPhone contacts, you are giving access to ALL your contacts. In some cases it can be good, for example, to find a friend more easily in the trending social network. But, in most cases, what you are doing is sharing too much personal information from your contacts (name, phone, mail, company, ...) as well as yours, since they know who you have a relationship with and you lose privacy.
The result is that in suggestions on Instagram you see people who you don´t want to follow, like the plumber who once came over. Or seeing in WhatsApp that personal stories of a contact you have only for work. This shouldn´t be happening, we should not share our full contact agenda with anyone. Only what really interests us.
Whether you want to store in TOC all those numbers that you do not know why you keep or that you use once a year, or if you want to store all the professional contacts or those distant relatives you never see, TOC will allow you to have them always at hand but it will not share them with anyone. Leaving in your main iPhone agenda only those contacts that you use and like, which you can share with those apps and services that you enjoy so much. Only those and no more.
The result is an agenda of really personal and important contacts in the iPhone and all “the other contacts" in TOC, for when you need them and for nothing else.
Characteristics:
- All contacts will be stored in iCloud in case something happens to your iPhone.
- Contacts are synchronized between TOC for iPhone and iPad.
- Caller ID! Do not wonder who is calling you for not having the contact in the iPhone's app. When you receive a call, TOC will identify the number if you have it saved and will show it to you.
- Block access to your TOC contacts with Touch ID or Face ID.
- Dark mode and design adapted to the new OLED displays.
- Import contacts from Contacts app.
- Search contacts into the app by name, surname, phone, company...
- Organize your contacts in groups.

- We have implemented lock options. Now you can unlock the app with your face or your finger, but also with a passcode.
- If you have update to V2 without run the app for last months, maybe you lost your V1 contacts. Now you can recover it in Advance Settings.

WELCOME TO T.O.C. 2!
In this new version we have made numerous changes. We rewrite the app to optimize resources and execution time. In addition, we have also added new features that we detail below:
- Groups! Now you can create as many groups as you want to better organize your contacts.
- Now you can add photos to your contacts to identify them more quickly, you can also add several phone numbers and emails (personal, work, ...), you can add the contact's postal address, ..., and much more.
- QuickContact! A new feature comes to The Other Contacts that allows you to generate a QR code associated with your contact information so that, when another person scans it, it is added to your contacts book automatically without the need to enter the contact data manually. Now sharing your contact data in events will be much easier. (The QR code can be scanned with any application that reads QR codes to add it to the device's main phone book or with the built-in T.O.C reader to add it to the T.O.C.)
- Siri is smarter. Now you can ask Siri to show your contact QR code by saying the phrase you want. In addition, Siri may suggest other actions within the app such as viewing contact information, or creating a new contact.

Mientras tanto seguimos trabajando en incorporar nuevas funcionalidades a T.O.C.

Ahora puedes enviar mensajes de WhatsApp los contactos que tengas almacenados en The Other Contacts sin necesidad de añadirlos a la agenda de tu móvil. Para ello, pulsa sobre su número de teléfono en T.O.C. y selecciona "Enviar WhatsApp".
Además, como en todas las versiones, hemos retocado el código para hacerlo más eficiente.

¡HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018!
En T.O.C. trabajamos hasta en las fechas más señaladas para ofrecerte siempre lo mejor. En esta versión hemos añadido la posibilidad de exportar toda tu lista de contactos en formato csv por si quieres tener una copia de ella.
Además, si tienes un número de teléfono en el portapapeles, la aplicación te sugerirá añadirlo como nuevo contacto.
Por último, si usas aplicaciones lanzadera como puede ser "Workflow", podrás abrir la app usando el enlace TOC:// o crear nuevos contactos usando TOC://add/*** (siendo *** el número de teléfono a añadir).

Llega la versión 1.1 de T.O.C. con las funcionalidades más esperadas por los usuarios:
- IMPORTACION DE CONTACTOS. Por fin es posible importar contactos directamente desde la agenda de tu iPhone. Con tan solo seleccionar tantos contactos como quieras, T.O.C. importará todos los datos que tengas de ese contacto (hasta las notas). Según las diferentes pruebas realizadas, la importación de 50 contactos completos no llega a 2 segundos.
- En esta versión, cuando añadas manualmente un número de teléfono, automáticamente se pondrá con el formato visual correcto (espacios, etc...) sin que tengas que hacer nada.
- También hemos añadido un acceso rápido por 3D Touch al icono de la app para que puedas añadir contactos de forma mucho más rápida.
- Por último, ya no hace falta que añadas el prefijo internacional para los números de tu propio país. La identificación de llamadas entrantes funcionará igual. (Puedes comprobar cual es el prefijo por defecto en los ajustes de la aplicación en base a la región del iPhone).

Con esta versión podrás utilizar atajos de teclado en el iPad para añadir nuevos contactos (CMD+N), editarlos (CMD+E) o incluso eliminarlos (CMD+D) de manera más rápida. También hemos mejorado la estabilidad de la aplicación.

En esta versión hemos añadido soporte a números internacionales en la identificación de llamadas. Para añadir un número de teléfono puedes hacerlo de las siguientes formas para que funcione con la identificación de llamadas:
* Si el número a añadir es de España, puedes añadirlo directamente en formato 600123456 o 912345678
* Si el número no es español, debes añadirlo con el prefijo internacional precedido de "+". Por ejemplo, +440000000000.
Además, en esta versión hemos añadido algunas pequeñas mejoras para hacer aún mejor la aplicación.
