＜あらすじ＞
地球が、すでに人類の世界ではなくなってから久しい。
世界はシンギュラリティを起こした機械群に支配され、人々はその片隅で、息を潜めて生き長らえていた。

運び屋‘‘ジュード’’の元に、依頼が舞い込む。
それはシンギュラリティ機械群の影響を受けない、少女型アンドロイド‘‘フィリア’’を輸送して欲しいというものだった。

世間知らずなフィリアの行動に嫌気がさしながらも、ジュードは旅を始める。
時には略奪を繰り返す人間から逃げ、時には機械群が闊歩する危険地帯を通り抜け、輸送依頼を果たそうとする。

少女は何度も人間になりたいと口にする。
遥か空の先に辿り着けば、アンドロイドは人間になれると言うのだが……？
