About 정법사

정법사는 서기1912년 당시 통도사 주지이신 구하 대 선사께서 일제 치하에서 핍박 받는 민족을 구제하고 민족의 역량을 하나로 모아 민생을 구제 하고자 창건되었습니다.
초대 주지에는 경봉 대 선사께서 취임 하셨고 그 이후 윤고암 스님 등 불교계의 많은 큰 스님께서 거쳐 간 곳이며 또한 많은 독립 운동가들이 이 곳에서 우리 민족의 자주와 독립을 도모한 민족 사관의 도량이었습니다.
근간에는 지은 스님, 서원스님 ,지안스님등이 주석하시며 지역불교 발전과 전법에 전념하여 지역불교의 중심에 서게 되었습니다.

또한 지태스님께서는 부임하시자마자 영축불교대학을 설립하여 불교 인재 양성에 심혈을 기울여 지역불교의 저변 확대하였으며 현재까지
2,700여명의 졸업 및 수료자를 배출하여 각처에서 불교 신행을 하고 있습니다.
정법사는 이제 시민들의 수행공간은 물론 정신적 귀의처로 발돋움 하였습니다.
