About DAVYR 3: Y90 Dosimetry App
The Dosimetry and Activity Visualizer for Yyytium-90 Radioembolization (DAVYR) is a mathematical modelling tool designed to provide the user with a more clear understanding of the relationship between activity (GBq) determination, and compartmental dose (liver, tumor, lung) as relating to Trans-Arterial Radioembolization (TARE) with Yttrium-90 microspheres.
With easy to use input function, through input buttons and sliders, the user can rapidly access clear summary tables, and on the iPad, graph plots outlining MIRD, Partition and BSA models.
As the app is intended for mathematical modelling only, the following limitations apply:
1) There is no differentiation between the different types of radioembolics
2) Concepts such as microdosimetry and Biological Equivalent Dose (BED) are not incorporated into dosmetric modelling
3) It is assumed that particles are uniformly distributed within each compartment
4) The app is meant as a general guide, and not intended for clinical use (please refer to product disclaimer)

1) lung parameters may be entered as cc or g

DAVYR 3 introduces a new graphical user interface to take advantage of todays larger screen sizes. With easy to understand icons, and a fresh layout, users can quickly input and access information on both the iPad and iPhone.
A new key feature is the ‘RAD SEG’ button, designed to assist in calculating Radiation Segemetectomy/ Radiation Lobectomy (RS/L), referencing the latest literature relating to MIRD/Parition/Glass/Resin techniques. A new Radiation Segmentecomy/Lobectomy (RS/L) help section has been introduced.
Minor bug fixes have been addressed and small refinements to the PDF output function have also been addressed.
