Just Be U

Just Be U app is an application that helps enrolled youth during their time in the Just Be U program offered by Urban Street Angels. Youth are able to track their progress inside the program using this app, and more importantly, be aware of the goals they need to fulfil in order to get back on their feet. In addition, youth can access their data from the Health app (HealthKit) and be aware of their sleep and steps metrics provided in the app.
HEALTH APP INTEGRATION:
Just Be U reads the following data from the Health app (HealthKit).
- Sleep Analysis
- Steps
Mentioned data is sent to Health app by any wearable able to do so (e.g. iWatch).
Rest of the medical data inside the app is entered manually by the health professionals overseeing the program, and it’s not coming from the Health app.
Just Be U is an innovative program offered by Urban Street Angels. This program provides housing, support services, advanced technology, integrative medicine, and holistic health care for transitional age youth experiencing homelessness in San Diego. Youth eligible for this program must be between the ages of 18- 25, and have a qualifying Serious Mental Illness (SMI) diagnosis. During their 90 days in the program, youth will receive recuperative, integrative, and holistic wellness services such as acupuncture, yoga, massage therapy, reiki, chiropractic care, and meditation, as well as mindfulness education, biofeedback therapy, and nutritional counselling.
