Da pidgin english was created on da plantations in Hawaii when sugar cane and da pineapple was being sent to da mainland. All da different immigrants dat came from da pake’s to da flips made up dis new language and slangs. Because not everyone could understand each other da broken english gave birth. Welcome to the Pidgin 101 App. This app was created to help all our brothers and sisters. The Pidgin English was created on the plantations in Hawaii when sugar cane and pineapple was being sent to the continental United States. All of the different immigrants that came, from the Chinese to the Filipinos, made up this new language and colloquialisms. Because not everyone could understand each other, this new broken English was born. Hope this app helps your fit in when you visit Hawaii!
