About FenicioName
Get your name written with the Phoenician Alphabet.
FenicioName translate your name (max 30 chars) and create a beautiful image using the Phoenician Alphabet which can be used as a graphic art in your page or t-shirt, or just everywhere you like.
Once the App translates the name, the result may be saved in your PhotoAlbum or published on Twitter (via Twitpic) or on your Facebook™ profile.
How does it work.
The fundamentals of the translation are based on the pronunciation and the phonetic sound of the word. The Phoenician alphabet since its origin was mostly used with a reduced set of character. Its alphabet was the base used to develop the future alphabets we still use nowadays.
The application translate the occidental-charset based character to the equivalent symbol related to the phonetic translation of that character. However, we do not use the original Phoenician alphabet, but one of the latest version, which gives a complete coverage of the alphabet we use today.
Please consider that some character are used in more than one instances not reflecting the 1-to-1 translation.
You will be able to save it as a picture in your Photo Album (compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad in iPhone compatible mode) and you will be able to post the picture on your Twitter page (using the official Twitter site for the images, TwitPic) or in your Facebook profile to surprise friends and your family.
Use FenicioName to have fun to share the new look of your name
