About Greek Gr1-3

The StaEllinika Language series of mobile apps are made for beginner learners of Greek. These apps offer a culturally rich experience for young learners featuring the ability to learn and practise skills, earn rewards and track progress. These apps can be used both online and offline! There are no ads and are completely free!

This level targets children in the early years of elementary school. Taking into account the fact that these children already face the challenge of learning literacy for their first language, the ‘Rebooting’ application for this level focuses mainly on oral communication and introduces the Greek alphabet. Each module corresponds to a specific complex communication task, through which the learners proceed gradually.

StaEllinika is a collaboration between the General Secretariat for Greeks Αbroad of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Republic of Greece) and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies at Simon Fraser University / Ready Labs Inc. in Vancouver, Canada and made possible thanks to generous support from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

Welcome to v1.2 - our biggest update yet.

In this version we have worked to make the app more accessible and help make you more productive in your learning.

- dynamic type support: the app will now respect your settings for global font size and adjust all screens accordingly, each time you make a change to that setting

- split-view support: on the iPad, you can now use the app side-by-side with other apps, and in any orientation

We also took the time to catch some bugs.
