We have built a new home screen that navigates quickly across all activities in the app. And icons for Journal, Topic, Settings, which has a new User Guidel

We have upgraded the "personalization" of the app through improvements to the Journal. It now only saves the activities that you choose. This includes web sites, video and audio, and even bookmarks in our on-line books, such as Path to Siva. If you find a video or audio talk you like in “Surprise” but can’t watch or listen to all of it, you can now save in it to the Journal and return to it to finish later. If you download an audio file to "My Audio" you can save it to the Journal and return to it without a new download. As before, you click the star in a Journal entry to mark a specific activity as a Favorite which will then appear in "My Menu" in the pull down navigator.

A whole new interface for Stories has been added and will expanded even more later. The Pillars of Iraivan and the three books, "Dancing with Siva," "Living with Siva" and "Merging with Siva," are all included, along with others. We fixed a user conundrum in Path to Siva: now the top menu is visible and you can go back or make a bookmark from each lesson.

Go to Topics to view all the media available in various categories of our web site and bookmark each video or audio talk that you want to come back to.

We have made more screens responsive to the size of your device. And lastly—depending on the bandwidth available—the app is much faster now.

Note: Apple has deprecated code for streaming audio and uses a new framework. As such this app will not play songs or talks on iPhone 8. It works from on iPhone 5, 6 and iPhone X, XR, XS. We hope to have a patch from the iPhone 8 as soon a possible. But it was important to get this release out for other models.

We have completely revised the navigation of the app. Based on users' suggestions it was simplified to a fast and easy to use menu. This has made the app more responsive. Three "Stories" are available on startup —three slideshows based on quotes from Yogaswami, Auvaiyar and Tirukural. You can leave the story at any time. When you come back to the home, it will pick up where you left off. New images of Lord Siva on the home screen are rotated over time. More upgrades on the Word Puzzle: "Reveal" now shows the quote for 2 seconds. Now many modules in the app are responsive and take the size of the phone that they appear on. Other small bugs and fixes were made.

Bugs were fixed -- in the Listen module, when you tried to download music to My Audio, the app would quit. When going back to the home screen -- main navigation -- from Word Puzzle, the position of the buttons was shifted to the right. This has been fixed. Now there is much fast navigation across modules.

New Music Categories: We now include Classical Music and Popular Music categories in the Listen module. Popular music is defined by those who produce via mixers, electronic drum beats, sound boards etc. Classical Music typically uses some real instruments, may be done in studios or on stage by professionals. We can also now play high quality .m4a files.

We are pleased and very grateful that Umakant and Ramakant Gundecha gave us permission to use their music. Their famed Shiva Bhaktimala II has been added.

In Popular Music category we have Natchintani songs by Sanje Siva (Sanjeevan Sivakumaran) from London and songs Kulagen Mooneeswamy from Mauritius.

In the amateur category we have a beautiful new Carnatic singer, Uma Satkunasivam. You will enjoy her charming soprano renditions of Natchintanai. She kept the gamakam (complex Carnatic vocal ornamentation) to a minimum, so that you can follow along with her tunes.

Gems quotes are not saved to the Journal. But a "heart" icon has been added. If you like a quote. Click the heart and it will be saved to the journal. This was you can go back to meditate on that one quote. Click on it to make it a favorite.

The Word Puzzle will now accept multiple occasions of the same word at multiple locations. What this means is words like "the, and, of," etc. you can put the words at any location where they fit the grammar of the sentence. With the exception of a word with a period after it. They must go to the end to the sentence.

Path to Siva now as clear navigation between lessons.
