The app’s back from the body shop where it got a little tune up. While you were at the beach/pool/bbq we got the oil changed, fixed that bent wiper blade, and dealt with a bunch of stuff under the hood. Don’t worry too much about the details. Just know these are the types of bug fixes and performance improvements we’re always addressing. All in the name of a better, faster, more comfortable ride.

We’re introducing a couple of sweet additions to make summer cooking even easier. New users will notice a reminder next to the appliance monitor (that little icon in the top right corner) to let you know where to enter times and temps to start your own cook. Also, once you’ve selected a recipe and the appliance you want to cook with, your selection will stay pinned to the top of your screen as you scroll so you never lose track of which appliance you’re cooking with.

Our goal: help you cook smart, not hard. We’ve made it easier to keep track of your recipes in real time. Imagine you’re making two recipes at once, say, a double-seared sous vide steak and cornbread to go with. That little button in the top right of your screen keep tabs on the recipe that needs your attention so you don’t have to. Go ahead and set the table or sit down for a sec. Joule’s got you covered.

It’s a good idea to read through the whole recipe before you get started and this makes it easier. Oh, and check out the new appliance switcher.
