Drivers can now communicate their planned working hours via the driver app. The dispatcher defines Delivery Blocks for each team, i.e. the time ranges when drivers are needed. Drivers can then review the proposed Delivery Blocks from the app and accept the relevant ones. Bringg then takes into account the accepted delivery blocks for automatic allocation and optimization.
New features have been added to the Scan Items option in the side menu:
When drivers scan an item that is already part of an existing order, they will see a pop-up message which they can click to view the details of that order. This option is especially useful when drivers want to quickly search for orders by scanning items.
When drivers scan an item that is not part of an existing order, they will be able to create an ad-hoc order which will then be added to their order list. This option enables drivers to quickly leave the warehouse with recently arrived items that have yet to go through the entire registration process.
When scanning an item that is missing important details, the driver will be prompted to access the order page in order to add those details. If the item doesn’t belong to the driver, he or she will be able to edit the order details after taking ownership of it.
Drivers can use the app to create a group order by scanning multiple items when they’re in Group Mode.
Driver actions can be specified for waypoints the mark a warehouse or a customer. This means that businesses can set up mandatory actions that drivers need to perform only on warehouse waypoints, for example, without sending this data when creating the order.
Fix: When drivers complete the mandatory actions assigned to the order, the red dot marking the mandatory actions on the order page will now be removed.
Fix: The app now recovers from cases of network loss without requiring an action from the users.
Fix: When starting a shift, the side menu on the app will now be updated to include all the actions allowed by configuration.
