About Félicien Rops Museum

The Félicien Rops museum, located at the heart of the old district of Namur, presents to the public the work of this unclassifiable 19th-century artist, sketcher, etcher, illustrator and painter with a demonic reputation. In addition to the permanent collection, the museum also hosts temporary exhibitions on the 19th century (artists, themes), contemporary engraving or the writings of artists.

The official application of the Félicien Rops museum – Province of Namur offers audio-guided tours (numerous videos) for the permanent collection, the “Félicien Rops and human rights” visit in conjunction with Amnesty International and a number of temporary exhibitions (in three languages: French, Dutch and English).
It also keeps you informed of activities organised at the museum (Apé’Rops, lectures, events, etc.). Practical details are available, as well.
