BUG FIXES: To celebrate the anniversary of Dwayne Leverock’s classic World Cup catch, we’ve optimised the game for widescreen devices including iPhone X, XS and XR.
As part of our commitment to realism, it is now impossible to win a match when playing as South Africa.

BUG FIXES: We’re still investigating a truly bizarre bug that has resulted in England consistently winning one-day games and batting like Sticky. We expect this will resolve itself in time for the World Cup. We’ve also fixed some other issues.

iPAD SUPPORT: As was all the rage in 2011, Stick Cricket is now a universal app - optimised for iPad as well as iPhone. We plan to boast about this update on our Myspace page.

BUG FIXES: We’re actively investigating a bizarre bug that has resulted in England winning one-day matches and batting like Sticky. We expect normal service will be resumed in time for the World Cup.

BUG FIXES: We've resolved some more issues on Leverock-sized devices.

TEAMS UPDATE (2.6.7): As a teams update was more overdue than an Australian one-day win, we got the Stick Cricket selection panel out of retirement - if only to stop Cricket Australia poaching them to fill their many vacancies.

The Stick Cricket selectors felt that the ball tampering trio had suffered enough and decided to not submit them to further pain and humiliation. As a result, we will not force them to play for an Australian team in danger of being overtaken by Bangladesh.

The Stick Cricket selectors felt that the ball tampering trio had suffered enough and decided to not submit them to further pain and humiliation. As a result, we will not force them to play for an Australian team in danger of being overtaken by Bangladesh.

BUG FIXES: We’re urgently investigating a strange problem that has resulted in England winning cricket matches regularly. We promise to resolve this in time for the World Cup next year.

We’ve also resolved some issues.
2.6.6
Aug 9, 2017
BUG FIXES: We’ve resolved an issue where the game would crash for Plus-sized users with dodgy eyesight. You can now resume literally seeing it like a beachball with Display Zoom enabled.

We’ve also resolved an issue where the game would crash if you win the World Cup. The crash now only occurs if you win with an implausible team (England).

TEAM UPDATES: The Stick Cricket selectors have come out of retirement to implement a much-needed update to all national squads. Some huge players - Pup Clarke, Dan Vettori and Kumar Sangakkara - have been put out to pasture. One ‘huge’ player in particular, Dwayne Leverock, has been retained purely for nostalgic purposes.

We did consider adding a beard to Shane Warne, but then we realised that would look completely ridiculous.

BUG FIXES: We’ve responded to an urgent request from the unemployed Australian cricket team, who literally have nothing better to do with their time than play Stick Cricket for the next few months, to get the game compatible with iOS 11. Unlike the Aussies, the game will now continue to work!

We’ve also resolved an issue where the game would crash if you win the World Cup. The crash now only occurs if you win with an implausible team (England).
2.6.3
Feb 2, 2015
BUG FIXES: We've boosted AB de Villiers' stats, to reflect his newfound status as the greatest real-life Stick Cricketer in the world.

R.I.P. HUGHESY: We've removed the hit wicket animation. As cricket lovers, we were absolutely gutted at the tragic loss of Phil Hughes late last year. The head blow, part of Stick Cricket since its original launch more than 10 years ago, just simply wasn't funny anymore. Quite the opposite, in fact.

For this summer, we've added Phil to the All Stars - replacing Punter at first drop (you may need to hit the Update Teams button on the main menu). This is, after all, a man who reached his maiden Test ton in a manner that Sticky would be proud of: a glorious six over mid-wicket.

(Don't worry, we'll resume our regularly-scheduled mockery of the England cricket team in our next update notes.)
2.6.1
Mar 27, 2014
BUG FIXES: We thought about changing England’s kit colour to orange. Then we realised that would be stupid.

We’ve also fixed a bug where the game would freeze at the end of a World T2 match. If you play as England, your innings now stutters at the start instead.

v2.6.0:
WORLD T2: Become a national hero by leading your country to T2 glory in this brand new tournament mode.

ALL STARS: After a heavy Friday night at the pub, the selectors have made some rash selection changes to the All Stars XI. Please direct all complaints to the makers of Ashes Cricket 2013.

England’s loss is the All Stars gain, with Kevin Pietersen soon to be whistling his way to and from the dressing room. His former teammate, Andrew Flintoff, also arrives. On a pedalo.

The dressing room is stocked up with baked beans and mobile phone credit to welcome Warnie, while Shaun Pollock is picked for his Duckworth-Lewis expertise.

We desperately needed one more player to make up the numbers, so a retired Indian batsman named Sachin just scraped in.

IMPROVE YOUR GAME: Do a Stuart Broad and get an edge over the opposition by visiting coach Gary at the new Performance Centre.
