cricHQ has been busy building its largest iOS update yet. Over a year’s worth of improvements by our champion developer. Key-areas were rebuilt, to improve the user flow, support screen rotation with dark mode support. The app is easier to use with numerous bug fixes.

MyActionReplay have been busy building a cool new portable version of our live streaming and instant replay camera technology.
8.3.0 includes support for this new hardware.

We have also added the ability to share a match when you are scoring more ways than ever. With the new share pane you can share the match by sms, airdrop, email and more. Check it out by going to the scoring screen -> Action -> Share match.

You can now happily view edited scorecards without the app throwing a tantrum.

Software is like a motel bed. It doesn't matter how many times you clean it, how pristine it looks or how comfortable it is, there will always be the odd pesky bug lingering around.
Luckily for our wonderful CricHQ users it's housekeeping time!

Fixed an issue where the grace period batting team penalty values where not being sent to the web.
Fixed an issue where matches that crashed during scoring couldn't be re-opened.

So many bugs, so many fixes. Software is hard!
Fixed an issue that caused some new match type rules to always be on.
Fixed multiple issues with wicket editing failing.
Fixed a bug that incorrectly calculated a second innings where penalties were used.
Stoped end match warnings for matches with points awarded towards the bowling team.
Fixed an MVP memory crash.
Fixed a bug that stoped a batter from having a second bat after they were forced to retire.
Wicket runs to the batsman and towards bowling team now only applies outside of a grace period (grace period consequences still apply as desired).
Switch batsman on wicket now only happens for non dismissal wickets.
Undo ball now will correctly calculate wicket runs towards bowling team.

We still have plenty of updates and improvements in the pipeline so expect another update to improve things next week.

Whoops! Looks like we broke ball editing in our last release. Squashed that bug and a couple more to make this release as reliable as Bryan Young in the slip cordon.

Added preliminary support for NZC Age and Stage rules.

No longer is CricHQ agist - We fixed a bug that put CricHQ into cardiac arrest when loading old matches scored on the device.
Ordered the CricEngine a taxi to stop it crashing the app when it found itself in a bad way after a night out on the jars.
Like a good old-fashioned Windows 98 keynote, CricHQ would occasionally blue screen (well, just crash but you get the idea) during onboarding due to an animation bug. No more animation, no more bug (fingers and toes crossed).

If CricHQ was a knight of the round table, we went from Sir Lancelot to Sir Crash-a-lot (ok, maybe Sir Crash-a-lil) with our last update. We hope with this update to restore our hero status and place at the round table.

Fixes include:
Some matches scored offline using older versions would crash if opened in 7.2.0 and an attempt was made to upload that match to our servers.
Attempting to search for players to follow in news feed would crash.
Follow on innings running smoothly again.

1. A feature (really a bug) that stopped matches scored offline from uploading fully when internet access was available has been fixed.
2. After a sacrifice to the email gods, “Report an issue” again works as it should.
3. In a world where Internet of Things exists CricHQ felt it only fair that retiring a batsman while connected to an external scoreboard should no longer cause a crash.
