Just as one bug gets squashed, another flies in the window. Such is the lifecycle of software!
You can now happily view edited scorecards without the app throwing a tantrum.
7.4.4 2019-01-07
Software is like a motel bed. It doesn't matter how many times you clean it, how pristine it looks or how comfortable it is, there will always be the odd pesky bug lingering around.
Luckily for our wonderful CricHQ users it's housekeeping time!
New sheets, less bugs and that lovely smell of pine scented disinfectant in the air.

(Some bugs were fixed, MVP is now hidden if enable MVP is unchecked on a fixtures competition page and some minor improvements made.)
7.4.3 2018-11-09
Fixed an issue where the grace period batting team penalty values where not being sent to the web.
Fixed an issue where matches that crashed during scoring couldn't be re-opened.

Stoped end match warnings for matches with points awarded towards the bowling team.

Fixed a bug that stoped a batter from having a second bat after they were forced to retire.
Wicket runs to the batsman and towards bowling team now only applies outside of a grace period (grace period consequences still apply as desired).
Switch batsman on wicket now only happens for non dismissal wickets.
Undo ball now will correctly calculate wicket runs towards bowling team.

We still have plenty of updates and improvements in the pipeline so expect another update to improve things next week.
7.4.1 2018-10-12

No longer is CricHQ agist - We fixed a bug that put CricHQ into cardiac arrest when loading old matches scored on the device.
Ordered the CricEngine a taxi to stop it crashing the app when it found itself in a bad way after a night out on the jars.
Like a good old-fashioned Windows 98 keynote, CricHQ would occasionally blue screen (well, just crash but you get the idea) during onboarding due to an animation bug. No more animation, no more bug (fingers and toes crossed).

Bug Fixes
7.2.1 2017-11-08
If CricHQ was a knight of the round table, we went from Sir Lancelot to Sir Crash-a-lot (ok, maybe Sir Crash-a-lil) with our last update. We hope with this update to restore our hero status and place at the round table.

Fixes include:
Some matches scored offline using older versions would crash if opened in 7.2.0 and an attempt was made to upload that match to our servers.
Attempting to search for players to follow in news feed would crash.
Follow on innings running smoothly again.
7.2.0 2017-10-03
On this day 2 October:
1869 - Mahatma Gandhi was born
1925 - John Logie Baird performs the first test of a working television system.
2017 - We added CricHQ video live streams to the iOS App. How very 2017 of us! Now with CricHQ Fan All Access, you can be that proud parent, fan or player watching live video action. You’ll know all about that awesome 6 or wicket-rattling delivery before you are blessed with the verbal version.
Can’t catch the live stream? CricHQ Fan Premium members can now subscribe to push notifications that are as customisable as that pendant spangled iPhone case you rock.

We also fixed a few issues:
Overs lost due to a delay continue to exist on the score card.
Good news for the bowlers, we improved balls bowled stat for incomplete overs.
Retire out no longer increases the wicket count for a match.
7.1.6 2017-08-29
7.1.6
On this day 29 August:
1831 - Michael Faraday discovers electromagnetic induction.
1885 - Gottlieb Daimler patents the world's first internal combustion motorcycle, the Reitwagen.
2017 - We fixed a couple bugs including an issue where a player created offline was failing to sync correctly with our servers when the scorer’s device came back online. This caused the application to crash when live scoring updates were being uploaded! Our apologies and admiration to the handful of scorers who persisted scoring their respective matches in the face of 30 second crashes! In the infamous words of Kevin Durant: You the real MVP!
7.1.5 2017-08-24
7.1.5
On this day 23 August:
1991 - Tim Berners-Lee opens the WWW, World Wide Web to new users.
1966 - Lunar Orbiter 1 takes the first photograph of Earth from orbit around the Moon.
2017 - WiFi was officially (not really) added to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. In that spirit, CricHQ decided to fix a few “features” (read: bugs) related to internet connectivity:
1. A feature (really a bug) that stopped matches scored offline from uploading fully when internet access was available has been fixed.
2. After a sacrifice to the email gods, “Report an issue” again works as it should.
3. In a world where Internet of Things exists CricHQ felt it only fair that retiring a batsman while connected to an external scoreboard should no longer cause a crash.
7.1.4 2017-08-04
7.1.4
On this day 3 August:

1492 - Christopher Columbus sets sail on his first voyage with three ships, Santa María, Pinta and Niña from Palos de la Frontera, Spain for the "Indies".
2017 - A CricHQ iOS developer was informed by a pre-school child that "sharing is caring" (the child wanted to partake in the parents pie). It was shortly after the developer realised during the previous update the logout button had been accidentally removed. This meant it was difficult for CricHQ users to share (and thus care) their device by logging out and allowing another user to log in. The developer immediately set about correcting this omission by conducting a course of coding wizardry and promptly offering the application to the App Store review gods for their blessing.
7.1.3 2017-08-03
7.1.3

On this day 20 July:
1881 - Sioux Indian Chief Sitting Bull, surrenders to US federal troops
1921 - Congresswoman Alice Mary Robertson becomes the first woman to preside over the US House of Representatives
1954 - Armistice for Indo-China signed, Vietnam separates into North & South
1969 - 1st Moon Landing: Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin from Apollo 11, 530 million watch live global broadcast
2017 - After finally fixing the top crash that had been plaguing them for months, CricHQ looked in the mirror and decided that “you know what, we’re worth something.” It was a bold move, but hopefully people would respect their self-belief.

7.1.2

On this day 14 July:
2017 - CricHQ stopped giving a toss if the match was finished. (Finished matches will no longer try to add a toss and crash when you click them.)

7.1.1

On this day 12 July:
1543 - King Henry VIII of England marries his sixth and last wife, Catherine Parr, at Hampton Court Palace.
1943 - World War II: Battle of Prokhorovka - Russians defeat German forces in one of the largest ever tank battles
2017 - In a code base far far away (Wellington, New Zealand to be precise) there lived an Evil Overlord (a bug named The Denier! ) who rose to power just two days prior. The heroes of the land (cricket scorers) would grace the overlord with bountiful crops of cricket data, that even though it was beautiful and fresh he rejected as spoiled. One day, a mere humble peasant (developer) rose up against The Denier leading a revolt of the people. The Denier was over thrown and in his place rose up a champion of the people. He was a fair and just validator that assessed the data on it’s merit. Long live “The Validator”.
(We shall drink decaffeinated coffee for the next week as our punishment).

7.1.0

On this day 10 July:
1925 - In Dayton Texas, the famous Monkey Trial began where a young science teacher by the name of John Thomas Scopes was accused of teaching evolution.
1940 - The Battle of Britain begins.
1962 - U.S. Patent issued for three-point seatbelt.
2017 - CricHQ released an update that fumigated a few pesky bugs, added stability control and a pony or two under the bonnet for extra performance. We might have added the ability to filter for CricHQ.tv matches too. And so history was made on this day.
