About Sono

Quickly find the information you need, when you need it: Discover the features required to rule out an ectopic pregnancy, see what a dislocated shoulder looks like on ultrasound, learn where to stick the probe for the heart views. Sono has you covered for whatever POCUS content you may need.

The increasing evidence for bedside ultrasound and the continued evolution of smaller and more portable devices has ushered in a new era of fast, reliable and accurate assessment of patients at the bedside. Ultrasound has applications head to toe (literally) and will be relevant to you whether you are a medical student, resident, nurse or physician.

Key Features:

• Huge library of ultrasound clips: normal and pathological, common and rare, to help sharpen your skills, with helpful pearls and pitfalls for successful interpretation of your bedside ultrasound.

• Concise, to-the-point video tutorials to review probe selection and positioning, patient positioning, sonographic landmarks and tips for improving your image acquisition.

• Handy list of materials needed for procedural techniques involving POCUS.

• Calculators, protocols, and other clinical resources for advanced learners.

• Bookmark your favorite pages for rapid access.

• Access Video Lectures developed by our expert faculty here at Western University, with functionality to bookmark, write notes, save timestamps, read transcripts and to assess your comprehension with short quizzes.

• Comprehensive End-of-Module Challenges for each of our 10 Screencasts series (Fundamentals, Lung and Pleura, Echocardiography, Procedural, OB/Gyn, Critical Care Hemodynamics, TEE and Miscellaneous) to truly put your ultrasound knowledge to the test.
